My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm Mark!
I'm a freelance graphic designer, art director and illustrator. I'm a big dork with a big heart. An "Always look on the bright side of life", optimistic, positive, glass-half-full kind of person.

I'm always up for trying new things; new adventures wherever I might find them. Attending more concerts this summer is a number one priority, as well as many a Jays game!

I greatly enjoy many nerdy and dorky things - they are a lot of what I am most passionate about and make up a large part of who I am.

I believe in being kind and loving to others; my life philosophies are "don't be a dick," and "put good out, get good back."

Long-term, I'd like to find someone to share those passions with - if you'd like to split a Con table that's a major plus.
Ideally I'm searching for the Hobbes to my Calvin; the Elly to my John; the Morley to my Dave; the Mary to my George. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Being professionally creative - neck deep in this, my second career.
Being non-professionally creative; making comics, engaging in friendly art challenges, going to shows, events and conventions, competing in Air Guitar competitions.
Getting active again now that warmer weather is here; swimming, running, playing softball.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Drawing, painting, sketching, doodling (general ideation); design.
- Being myself.
- Relating everything back to a movie or Simpson's quote / reference.
- Making the best fried-egg & grilled cheese sandwiches.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall, confident and friendly!
I sing when I'm in a good mood and dance (poorly).
I'm passionate about the things I love.
I sometimes talk too fast.
My closest friends are like my second family.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What's happening this week!?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Any of the following...
- At a Drink n Draw (life drawing)
- Catching a new flick
- Attending a Jays' game
- Going to a concert (in a bar or at the symphony, either works)
- Binging on Netflix & making art
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a sucker for musicals; I will sing along to pretty much everything. I also have a secret soft spot for a fair bit of contemporary pop music. O_o
