I am ecclectic, whimsical, and astute.
My Self-Summary
I am an international English teacher. I'm not especially outgoing,
but I am smart and a little loony in a harmless way. I studied
film and
humanities at BYU
because it was the only way I could legitimately study all the
disparate subjects I would normally dabble in for fun, watch lots
of movies, and still get a degree out of it.
I think too much, or too deeply, or something. I rewrote this thing
five times from different angles, then I figured, just put the
basics and anyone who wants additional information can ask for
it.
I should probably throw out here that I'm Mormon, serious about it,
and proud of it. Yes, Mormonism IS a subset of Christianity, and I
WILL argue that point. If you have a problem with Mormons, it may
be wise to back out now.
That being said, I'm not your typical Mormon, nor your typical
geek, nor your typical overseas English teacher, nor your typical
anything, really. (Oh, yeah, did I mention I am a geek?)
I disagree with some of my personality awards.
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching English in Korea (again). Still doing some game
development, video editing, and blogging on the side.
I’m really good at
categorizing, improvising, cooking, brainstorming, critiquing
media, sounding smart, synthesizing disparate ideas
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm tall, I have a serious expression, and I'm gruff with strangers
- most people assume I'm angry when I'm just being cautious and/or
civil.

(d) You name it
I spend a lot of time thinking about
CRAZY stuff (e.g. the difference between 'm' and 'n' and other
sublteties of phonics, alternative
dating paradigms, the pros/cons and
ethics of
downloading massive quantities of media, idioms from
Sesame Street, how to
best survive being accidentally transported back in time)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm pretty open...about most things. If I won't admit it here, I
won't admit it to anyone.
