Two adventurous spirits are more fun than one!
I am a kind and easygoing guy. I live in a peaceful country setting, not far from a large town, in a place that could easily be on a post card. I enjoy working with computers (and playing with gadgets), and have plenty of time for the people and pups in my life.

Spending time in nature makes me happy. I take walks on local trails, and ride horses with good friends. One of my funnest trips was to Elkhorn Slough, where our group played follow-the-leader with kayaks in a maze of canals, and watched rangers pull up enormous fish for show-n-touch.

Taking classes is one way I grow as a person. I'm drawn to the theater, and had a great time directing a funny skit in a recent class. I also enjoy dance lessons, especially east coast swing. It's wonderful dancing with a partner that's in tune with you.

I have friends from all walks of life and love getting together with them. One of our favorite things to do is sitting around a table laughing and playing board games! I love having fun, going places, or just relaxing with friends (or a good movie). I also love having meaningful conversations that connect on a deeper level. I look forward to getting to know someone new, enjoying activities together, and seeing how it goes.

Making sure my mother is well cared for in her golden years. Learning new computer skills and writing a program in my spare time. Completing household projects, most recently getting new bathroom faucets and closet shelving installed. Can't have too many shelves.

Writing web pages. Testing software. Painting my house. Varnishing cabinets. Experimenting with my rotisserie. Cooking pasta for guests. Organizing get togethers. Helping little old chickens cross the street.

People have told me I'm funny, especially after seeing me perform in a skit. A teacher once laughed at a remark of mine and said "I have to look out for your sense of humor!"

Favorite movies are indie, fantasy, and sci-fi. Favorite foods are italian, mexican, and seafood. (Cioppino? nom nom nom!) Favorite music is light rock, and I enjoy listening to Delilah After Dark.

I think about my goals in life. I have met several goals already, including a comfy home in a quiet country setting, interesting career and hobbies, and a most excellent set of friends. I still have some dreams I'm working on.

Sometimes I go out and see a show, attend a meetup, dine out, or visit friends. Other times I stay in and enjoy a night at home. I might heat up leftovers, or perfect my recipe for smoked ham hocks and beans. I might watch The Simpsons, or an episode of Frozen Planet where fearless penguins make nests out of rocks they've pilfered from other penguins. I might turn up the thermostat, or make a roaring fire in my fireplace to stay toasty warm on a chilly winter night.

I'm more adventurous than people think. Past adventures include ziplining through the redwoods at Mount Hermon, rappelling down a cave shaft in Gold Country, riding horses into the rugged Ventana Wilderness, and paddling into a watery cave filled with glow worms in New Zealand.

I'm looking for a best friend to enjoy life with. Someone who loves the time we spend together as much as I do, and who wants to be in a caring partnership eventually. People will see the two of us happily holding hands and think "what a cute couple!"
