I am currently a graduate student at FSU studying biochemistry/biology. I am definitely a bit of a science nerd at heart, but I have always been into the outdoors. I have worked in the past as a rock climbing instructor/guide, whitewater river guide, and SCUBA divemaster. I have always loved traveling and have been all over the world, though I don't get much of a chance to do that these days. On the other hand, I am perfectly comfortable curling up on the sofa with a book or movie. And I have been known to enjoy a museum or the orchestra as well. Really, I am easy-going and up for just about anything.

And I should probably mention too that I am one of those crazy hippy liberal vegan types! I've been vegan for a few years now, and was vegetarian long before that. Ethical issues and all.. But I do not walk out of a restaurant if one of my friends orders a steak or something. I am a Keith Olbermann/Rachel Maddow/Bill Maher-watching left winger. I am also an atheist in the Dawkins/Harris/Dennett camp.
