I read a lot of science fiction and fantasy fiction. Books are very important to me, as are the imaginations and dreamscapes that are necessary to make and appreciate them.
I have red hair, subject to change. A lot. I can never have enough chocolate. It's my addiction.
I am interested in the history of and art from around the world, particularly Japan. I really like manga, woodblock prints, architecture, Renaissance painting, photography, and sumi-e.
I am interested in the fiber arts. I like to crochet, and am slowly learning to knit.
I have a couple of cats. I could go on, but then I'd be that lady, who talks about her cats.
I work in a library. Books. Important. Digital or not.
I am easy-going, unusual, and honest. I laugh at and with the world often, it is a beautiful and curious existence.

Mostly I just want to enjoy life. I do so in a casual, everyday sort of way, usually. Hobbies, work, family, friends...I'm missing someone special, so here goes...

I have a lot of hobbies; reading, crochet, the occasional SCA outing, catching up on the internet, bicycling, photography, a night out dancing, game night here and there, playing with my cats, and sometimes I bake things. I work in a library, really feeds the whole reading addiction. I have a regular dinner night with friends, it's good to catch up.

I'd like to share all this with someone who appreciates enjoying themselves in such a manner. Let's talk about what interests us. Good conversation over good food sounds like a good idea.

Looking at the world a little bit sideways. Ok, a lot sideways. I really like to extend ideas ad infinitum without, hopefully, being pedantic.
I make stuff to wear, to eat, and really bad jokes; sadly the shortest distance between two puns is a straightline.

Books: Stranger in a Strange Land, Use of Weapons, Blade of the Immortal, Fables, Princess Knight, Hyperion, Sewer, Gas, and Electric. Many, many more, too much to list.
As for shows, I have been watching more things lately.Sherlock, Castle, Firefly, The Price of Milk, Black Sheep, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop. I own up to it; I like anime.
Music: wow. I'm not very organized with my likes, but I do listen to a lot of random things. I am listening to Mercan Dede right now, and recently have been listening to Anouar Brahem, David Bowie, Natacha Atlas, Elvis Costello, The Red Elvises, Santana, Buckwheat Zydeco, Jimi Hendrix, Diana Krall, recently have been obsessing over violin concertos, oh Paganini, you darling, Vivaldi you rock my socks, who knew, amiright?
I also manage to hit a museum every now and then, recently saw some Monet and may actually get to see some awesome ancient Greek stuff soon. SOON.
