I like to laugh, love closeness, communication, intensity, fun. I am passionate about my work in education, social justice and research, and have an active social life with a lovely circle of friends. I like dancing, working out, bike-riding, movies and an eclectic range of music. I'm energetic, warm, direct. I love conversation, listening and sharing thinking, challenging frontiers in our minds.

And I'm looking for sweet deep connection with a good man, who is warm, affectionate, sexy and willing to be open and honest about his life and himself, who is also seeking a life long partner.

I work part time as a university lecturer and full time in civil rights work. But I have the privilege of being in charge of my own schedule.
I have close personal sharing conversations with friends, and write in my journal, so I guess self-reflection gives shape to my life. I like to challenge myself at the edge of my comfort zone, public speaking, meeting people with different views and ways, learning from my students. I've written and published, made several films.
My work is important and challenging. I am fortunate to do what I love: social justice work with fun, interesting people about cutting edge issues. I have family in Europe, so, lucky me, I travel to see them occasionally.

Connection, listening, talking, laughing at life and myself. I hold high hopes for direct and honest communication. I make patchwork quilts and fun knee patches on jeans. I'm a good teacher, a pretty good cook. I cut my own hair and can offer to do yours too.

an occasional piece of fiction, constantly reading on the web, non-fiction, pop science, culture, memoirs, biographies. (An example I recommend: "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," by Rebecca Skloot) I love the ethnic restaurants around here, museums, quirky movies. (I teach a film course.) I love jazz, classical, some pop. and oldies.

Six? I can do without a lot of stuff I have. Would miss my cats a lot though. Okay, dark chocolate, my hot tub, swinging in playgrounds, checking email too often, my sewing machine, Netflix. Oh, that's seven.

People I love, how to make things go well, social justice, things on my to-do list (how important is this?) what I can't wait to tell my best friend. I enjoy pictures of galaxies and star nurseries; I like history, imagining the future, getting the big picture.
