My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and went to college in the cornfields south of there. After, I had a choice between Nebraska and here. Seemed like an easy decision at the time.

I have a pretty dry sense of humor that sometimes gets me in trouble as far as being hard to read. However, I'm a pretty genuine person and try hard to balance being a smart ass with making real connections.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an engineer that plays with dirt a lot and tries to fool around with the 3D printer when possible. When not at work I try to have new experiences. Lately that seems to involve finding out what everything in my vicinity tastes like.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm better than any computer at the Turing Test, booyah!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my lack of hair?

And for Movember, my horrible perv-stache. I just went to add that I currently have a horrible mustache, but apparently I forgot to take it down from last year. Apparently I'm not good at online profiles. No wonder nobody contacts me from
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
-My favorite book (unfortunately?) is probably one of the asoiaf (Game of Thrones) books. I've been a geek about those for about a decade. I am open to and enjoy most literature though. The lase three books I've read are American Gods by Neil Gaiman, We wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed with our families by Philip Gourevich, and Drift by Rachel Maddow.

-Indiana Jones and the original Star Wars. Harrison Ford was my hero growing up.

-Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, just like everyone else my age.

-I tend towards classic rock and the blues.

-All of it. Although I haven't been a fan of Ethiopian food. If you know a place that'll change my mind, let me know.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Black coffee (although in a pinch any would do. If you take away my coffee I will cut you)

2) A mechanical pencil.

3) Thunderstorms.

4) New experiences: food, places, drinks, people.

5) Golden rings.

6) Lists that have as many elements as the smallest perfect number.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What's next.

An elaboration: where should I travel to next? Last year was Spain and Morocco. The Middle East is a possibility this year. Or steak and wine in Argentina?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I know you have to skip to 2 minutes into the video to get to the music on "I Knew You Were Trouble."
