I am Loveable, Blessed, and Loyal.

My Self-Summary

About me:
What would you want to know before a first date?
Hmmmm...
Well, I'm a God loving man looking for a God loving woman.
I think intelligence is sexy.
Music is huge in my life... I work in music, listen to music, used to play and teach music.
My friends are very important to me. VERY! I have two best friends (I know, two BEST friends sounds weird, but it is true). One male and one female. They keep me balanced.
"More," you say?
I'm from Kentucky. Well, kind of. I'm from Louisville. Louisville is not really accepted by the rest of the state as Kentucky. It's kind of like how Nashville seems to be considered separate from the rest of Tennessee.
I try my damndest to be funny. I often fail, but that doesn't keep me from trying. I love to laugh.
I really like sports, but not in a "if my team loses you should really call the cops" kind of way. My teams suck. I've grown accustom to that. I kind of expect them to lose, and if they win it's a bonus.
Funny fact about one of my teams. I like the Detroit Tigers. Some one asked me why, once, and I swear I believe it has something to do with Tom Selleck.
I used to play drums a lot. I still want to start a blues band. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to quit my life and be a rock star. That dream has pretty much sailed. I just love playing.
Travel is huge with me. I'll tell you my funny Europe story if you tell me yours.
I am truly flattered you have read this far.

What I’m doing with my life

Working at a desk, trying to make sure my company pays people properly. That and answering client calls. You know, no one ever calls the bank and says, "Hey Thanks, you are doing an awesome job!" Nope, never gonna happen. One of my co-workers over heard a client call once and asked, "how do you do it?" (As in, "how do you put up with so much crap, and still talk to them like a professional"... he seemed to say.) I said after work I go to the gym and wail on a punching bag for exercise. Once you are worn out and happy, you really just don't care about their complaints anymore. And it helps me from bringing the office home with me.

I’m really good at

Being a horrible speller. I can't tell you how many times spell check has saved my butt before I sent an e-mail. I once misspelled intelligence in an e-mail complaining about someones lack there of. Can you see the irony?

The first things people usually notice about me

That I'm Irish. I'm still not sure how they figure that one out?!
(see, I really try to be funny... not every one is a diamond.)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Book: I just read "Time Travelers Wife," and I loved it. I'm a fan of HP as well. I really like to read, and I have done a lot more since I graduated college... more reading after than wile in college to be honest. The weekend I graduated, I went out and bought the complete works of Bill Shakespear, because I knew no one would ever ask me to read that again. Yep, haven't touched it since.
Movies: I used to work in a video store, so I have a crazy array of movie tastes. I like comedy, some chick flicks, action, oldies. Not too big on horror, but not because I'm scared, but because I'm a realist. Freddie ain't coming for me in my sleep. It's you I'm not too certain about?!
Music: loaded question. I work in music, like a lot of people in Nashville. I wouldn't call myself a music snob, but I'm not far from it.
Food: I can find something to eat on most menus.

The six things I could never do without

1) God, my Father.
2) My closest and best friends.
3) My family. I would even do anything for my extended family.
4) Music. I work in music, I used to play music, I used to teach music. Music is big with me. Something tells me I mentioned that already.
5) Books and writing. I love to read, and I like to write. Some have said my writing is fun to read, and a select few have even called it good. I just do it for the creative release.
6) Sports. I have recently realized that sports need to take a lower place in my life. My sports teams suck. (Sound familiar?) I have devalued sports, that is why I moved them to sixth place.
6b) The gym. I love to work out. One, so I look/feel better. Two, it gives me a break between work and the real world. It gets my minds off of the things of my day.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Things I can't change. But those are the things I pray most about.
Also, I think of silly questions, like:
You can be overwhelmed. You can be underwhelmed. Can you just be whelmed? (I actually know the answer to this one.)

On a typical Friday night I am

I usually don't know what I'm going to do on a Friday until I'm doing it. I hardly ever make plans for a Friday night, they just kind of happen. But they usually involve great friends and food.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

OK, I'm not going too deep here. BUT, for someone who can't spell, I'm a fanatic about full words and grammar in text messages. I always do my best to use punctuation, and if you ever catch me texting OMG or BTW without trying to be funny, (or concentrating on driving) something is seriously wrong with me.
Although my guilty pleasure is saying B.T. Dub. (all thanks to 'How I Met Your Mother. Yeah, I'm a Ted.)
