All love and all forgiveness is self forgiveness and self love. Letting go of the past is the only freedom I have found in this life, and I have only just begun to find it, would you like to see ?
I have jobs where I get paid, getting paid is purely symbolic at this point; I don't own the money, it just visits me for awhile. It flows through my wallet like joy flows through my body, good while it lasts, but knowing the feeling of full accentuates the eventual emptiness.
I watch movies, in the hopes that one day, a good one will come out, like in the olden days. I usually only watch classic movies now. My favorite movie of all time is Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. If you haven't seen it, you need to drop everything and watch it right now.
I am selective about the television shows I watch. My favorite one that got canceled was Carnivale. I still am hoping for it to come back.
As far as music goes, I like pretty much everything. I have been listening to more instrumental stuff recently. Emancipator is my jam right now.
My favorite food is cat food. When I'm feeling fancy I spring for the good stuff.
More than anything though, I am a fan of people, certain people at least. I am so grateful for people who exist, and have existed, that are giving of their knowledge, and wisdom; people like David Foster Wallace, Bill Hicks, Mark Twain, George Carlin, so many others, so many others, living and now dead and still living, who have enriched my life, simply by doing what should occur to us all, by caring to speak their mind, and letting us all in on the secret truths they have gleaned from going before us in this awful, wonderful world. They are lighthouses in the dark landscape of our collective imagination, keeping the fires of truth lit, so we can find our way in this sterile technological wilderness.
I'm going to compile a list of things I can do without also, I will add things to this list as they occur to me....
People that use the word legit to describe things they like, as in, "That's legit", or "This is so legit". You are legitimately a fucking asshole.
People who text while driving.
Throughout my life I have noticed a pattern of people who like to pretend they are better than everyone else and everything they come into contact with in their sphere of limited perception. I suppose I could do with fewer people like that, cockily prancing about wherever I go.
I think about how we live in a place where using the substances that help us cope with our shitty lives, often make our lives progressively shittier. Oh I use words like us, and we, and our, but don't I really mean me?
I am used to carrying the weight of entire conversations on my weary shoulders. I often feel like I am speaking with a magical talking brick, that is retarded.
I am so happy to talk to people that can reciprocate any kind of honesty. I like when people can match my excitement for the things I love, like intimacy, stories, jokes, etc.
Just because all that you worship exists merely in two dimensional space (such as they exist only on computer screens, magazines, and movie scenes) does not mean you have to be.
It is shameful that media icons hold such a dear place in the psyches of *everyone.
*Everyone meaning you probably.
I think everyone's mind is like a clogged toilet, full of hollywood turds. There just isn't enough room in there for you to have a personality after the media packs all that fudge in your mind is there ? I like hollywood stuff in a certain light, but I keep turds where they belong, in the fucking toilet, not my brain. *Flush your head.
