I'm a nerd in a lot of ways. I like to read books and do so on a regular basis. My favorite genres are Drama, Thriller and SciFi. I used to work in a book store, so I developed quite a healthy appetite for all kinds of books, not just those limited to within that list. I'm also a computer geek and do a lot with them; you'll find me writing an application for fun or doing some remote sysadmin stuff. I'm involved in the OpenSource community and contribute to a few projects.

However, I do like going out in the world :) I do have some social skills and can get along in a lot of different environments. I'm not too much of a fan of the club scene, as I seem to have problems with large amounts of people acting like utter morons. I more prefer the casual areas, but I can hang out in a bar and have fun too. I'm not a big drinker, but I'll have a beer every now and then. I'm much more the guy who will abstain to make sure that his friends have a DD. I've seen way too many DUI victims and it's something I abhor.

Hmm.. what else. Oh, I'm not much for taking risks either. I have a severe fear of heights, although I've been working on moving past that. I'm trying to force myself out of it; one day I hope to jump out of a plane with a bit of fabric to keep me from becoming a flesh puddle. But when I'm not trying to conquer my fears, I like to draw and have been doing that a lot lately. I also like to just chill and watch television or catch a movie. I like to try and find a happy medium between going out and staying in.

In terms of what I want out of a relationship, I'd just like someone who will be as dedicated to me as I am to them. I love a woman who is intelligent and can think for herself, has her own opinions and isn't shy to voice them and also someone who is considerate of other's feelings. Don't need a blowhard who believes being blunt is the best behavior all the time. I love to cuddle and I'm very affectionate with my touch. I try to be considerate on all levels and I'd like the same returned. Basically, someone who is comfortable in their own skin who doesn't have pretensions and can reciprocate the dedication I will offer.

People generally consider me to be unique or odd in that I have a unique sense of humor; I try to find the humor in most situations. Also, I have my own peculiar way with words and their pronunciation.

I am friggin' awesome, caring, and fun-loving

I'm attending a local school on the nursing program. In between classes, I'm usually studying and working. I do try to get out whenever I can, though.

Seeing things from a different perspective, talking your ear off about the inane, listening to you talk my ear off, and spitting out trivia.

I can't even imagine. Um, I'm told I'm weird or unique, but in a good way. So, I guess that people tend to notice that I'm not average and nice to have around.

I have a large library of books that are my favorites. I just love to read, and have since I was very young. I follow a couple of authors, most notably Stephen King and Peter Straub; but I mostly read within a genre without much consideration for the author. I try to get a good idea of the quality of a story by reading the synopsis and couple that with reading random parts of the book before I buy it. Yes, I still buy books. There's something to be said from the tactile stimulation gained from turning a page, rather than pressing a button on some device.

As for movies, I also love most kinds, but have a passion for horror/thriller movies. Also comedies of a certain variety; dry humor kind, mostly. But I have a lot of variance in that. Even so, I'll watch just about anything. I'm a bit like Johnny Five in that I "need more input!" Ha, Short Circuit was a great movie when I was a kid. Probably still it. I should watch that again! Haha. ...moving on.

I love all kinds of music. Seriously. I know, a lot of people say that and then you find out they only like a couple bands or something, but you will catch me listening to just about all the stations on the radio and my iPod has quite a varied assortment of musicians on it. As long as it has a beat and some melody, I probably will listen to it. I do listen to a lot of rock, though. That's a wide genre, and I have a lot of albums that fall within that scope. So, a large love of all kinds of music with a penchant for all things rock and roll. Oh, and I'm a bit knowledgeable about early hip hop/rap music. Kind of lost respect in the mid-nineties when it became all gangsta and what not. I liked it when it was fun and had something to say. Anywho. ...

I mostly cook Italian entries, but I also love some German, Greek, French and American cuisines. I'm a picky eater, though. There are some things I just won't eat; and that also extends to things that I've never eaten before. If it looks unappetizing, you can bet your bottom dollar I'm not going to put it in my mouth.

1. My mobile phone. Love it and am always doing something on it.

2. Music - my life has to have a soundtrack.

3. A pencil or pen; I'm always sketching something on whatever paper is laying around. I like to draw. It helps me focus. And every now and then I'm inspired to conjure some prose.

4. My slowly expanding DVD collection.

5. My books.

6. My motivation. I've got to have that, or ambition is useless.

Things of little or no consequence. My mind is constantly exploring tangents of one thought juxtaposed against another and just wandering around. I find inspiration everywhere and try to explore all kinds of things.

Working; or hanging out with friends; or kicking back at my place and watching some movies, reading a book, and having friends over.

I don't have a set routine and I'm pretty open to taking life as it comes. So...yeah. There we go.
