My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there, I'm Matt- thanks for stopping by!

Here’s my shot at a 30-second self promotion, so hold on tight:

I typically wake up (usually OUTRAGEOUSLY late) and spend the first half of my day at a marketing firm downtown. I love the folks I work with and wouldn't trade the job for anything! Wining and dining with my clients... can't ask for much more. And the travel is amazing!

Once I finally drag myself away from work at the end of the day, I spend almost all of my time mountain biking or on the soccer field. I'm pretty active, so getting outside is pretty standard for me. I've had to take up snowboarding over the past 5 years to drag myself out of hibernation.

So I suppose I've come to the part where I rationalize why I'm here on this site. The way I see it, I will never run into 99% of the people on this site in the real world, and I'm pretty sure I'd be missing out on getting to know some great people. That being said, shoot me a message if you're interested- I'd love to get to know you!!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Business in the front..... I spend the daylight hours working at a marketing firm downtown.

And party in the back..... Amateur mountain bike racer, avid soccer player, and slightly above-par, self-appointed chef-in-training.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-finding hole-in-the-wall restaurants that turn out to be unbelievably delicious
-getting lost when riding my bike
-starting projects (and sometimes finishing them)
-quoting an unhealthy selection of movies
-filling up shopping carts on ikea.com, but never actually ordering anything
-sleeping through my alarm (and being miserable for the following 2.5 hours)
-subsequently refusing coffee from all those around me who have to suffer through my morning grumpiness
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I have a lot to say. Some say it's a problem, but I prefer to think of it as a public service... providing a constant stream of helpful advice and interesting anecdotes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
-Books: Anything on the best seller list, Clive Cussler novels, George RR Martin novels.

-Movies: Top 5- The Prestige, Fight Club, Memento, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Argo. I'm all over the place with my favorite movies (I consider myself a movie buff, so I have a pretty wide and varying taste).

-TV Shows: Anything USA, AMC or NBC Thursday (The Walking Dead, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, White Collar, Psych, Burn Notice, Suits, Parks and Recreation, The Office).

-Music: I can't list all of my favorite bands (I listen to EVERYTHING) so I guess I'll go all-time Top 5: O.A.R., 30 Seconds to Mars, New Found Glory, Mumford and Sons, Luke Bryan (like I said, my tastes are all over the place...)

-Food: Italian, no contest there. You can literally find me at Pastabilities every weekday for lunch.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
#1 - The obligatory family and friends

#2 -Mountain bike trails

#3 - My Impreza

#4 - My old, raggedy Notre Dame Fighting Irish hat - you know, that one that's been through hell but I will NEVER get rid of, no matter how much others complain

#5 - A grill

#6 - My recliner
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
my next big adventure... Someplace old and familiar? Someplace new and fascinating?

You pick.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
diving into a nice hot shower -->

trading in the chinos and button-up for a v-neck and some faded jeans -->

meeting up with my crew for some [INSERT CHOICE OF YOUR FAVORITE ASIAN CUISINE HERE] and brews somewhere around Syracuse -->

and ending the night with some sort of ridiculous sitcom-esque story that no one believes truly happened. Except for us. And that's all that matters.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that this is the "short version" of my profile. You should have seen the first couple drafts.

you're the right kind of girl for me. The type of woman I find most attractive is just as comfortable:

a) sitting on the couch with an old movie and a good glass of wine b) cracking beers at a cabin up in the Adirondacks
c) dancing the night away at your choice establishment (downtown, some podunk country bar in the sticks, the casino... take your pick)
d) all of the above

She understands that life is all about making the most out of every moment, and she doesn't sweat the small stuff- it's all about living in the moment!

If that sounds like you (and you answered 'd' above), send me a message and let's get to know each other!
