I like most people don't really know where to begin with this sort of self selling business. I was never much of a salesman and I suppose that extends to trying to sell myself in the frame work of a dating site profile. Ha ha

I have a soft spot for the arts, I love anything creative from music to literature, theatre visual arts etc. these are key passions in my life I tend to enjoy them more on the field as an appreciator, fan, critic but I've been known to dabble and dip my hand in and try my best in a creative field or two. In fact I try to doodle and or write something at least once a day and I have a plethora of half learned instruments.

This passion is tempered with a desire to learn love to read and explore new thoughts.

I'm a bit of a nerd as when I'm passionate about something I tend to delve head first and get really into it. I enjoy Settlers of Catan, I've got a soft spot for comic books. and movies with cheesy special effects.

I tend to be more of a listener, then a talker, I like to hear what people have to say and learn from them.

I work with kids so nurturing is a big part of my character and so a large part of my character is some one who's caring, kind, compassionate you know all that warm kind of junk.

I promise you I do have a sense of humour though sometimes it doesn't so much translate online. I have refrences they can attest to that fact. ha ha

Currently I'm spending my days working supply at a daycare out in Orleans. You know running around, chasing after manic children, laughing nurturing you know all that fun business. When not busy doing that I'm usually writing, drawing, making a god awful racket trying to call it music etc. Doing what I can to stay creative well doing that whole survival thing. Currently working on putting together a chap book collecting the writings of myself and a couple friends.

Selling myself short, haha. Nah but seriously I'm pretty good at a lot of things listening though is where I could probably take home the gold. I'm not too much of a talker but sit me down and I'll open my ears and listen to everything you need to get off your chest. I have references if you want them. :)
I'm also pretty good at these following things:
Being crafty (at least for a guy,), writing( not in a technical sense as you can see that's quite dreadful but more so in a creative manner), doodling, being a friend( little known fact the golden Girls theme was written preemptively as an ode to my capacity for platonic love), making obscure references or jokes that only work out in my head. Writing critically adored dating site profiles that get panned by the public audience. Hahahah

The beard, it's kind of right there. Well used to be the beard not it's the mutton chop or how I remind them of someone they think they know or how they just saw someone they think looked like me.

Urgh! these thing's are my life where would I even begin/ I love things that are quirky and indie, awkward and different.

Poetry tends to be my favourite form of the written word but I love so many different forms and styles. so yeah the ubiquitious list would include: Burroughs, Cohen, Asimov, Tolkien, Dostoevsky, Ginsberg, Kerauac, Bukowski. etc. etc.

Musically I've grown up listening to a little bit of everything from Apples in Stereo, to Coltrane to Mos Def to well you get the picture indie, folk, hip hop, punk, jazz, etc. etc. the list goes on.

Movies: see my above note but for a bit more detail. I try and take ques as much as possible from the Criterion collection. I love directors with an individual views and perspectives: Wes Anderson, Woody Allen, Akira Kurosawa, Fellini, John Hughes, Miyazaki, John waters, Jim Jaramusch, Jean Pierre Jeanet, etc. etc.. I love coming of age movies. and so many damn things. ha I also started getting into the Studio Ghibli stuff. Oh I'm also a fan of trashy b movie type stuff, there really there is just way too much to name.

TV: Arrested Development, It's Always Sunny, Parks and Rec Simpsons, Home Movies, Venture Bros, Twin Peaks, Parks and Rec, Community, Spaced, IT crowd, Office UK, extras, Mighty Boosh, Little Britains, Look Around You, Noel Fieldings, Luxury Comedy, Snuff Box, Carnivale, Six feet Under etc etc

Food: Indian, Sushi, Thai, Chinese, etc etc Pizza!!

New ways to combine words to express different aspects of my heart and my head. Why our world is as incredibly messed up as it is. Where the spots of beauty in chaos lay. How we interact with each other. Cats. Dogs. Cute things. what different pieces of expression are trying to tell us. you know the usual stuff that floats around most heads.

Typical tends to insinuate there's some repetition of what you do. where as I don't have much of a Friday night pattern. I could be catching a show. cutting a rug. conversing with my closest confidantes, hiding in blanket forts, checking out a movie, reading etc etc.

I didn't learn how to ride a bike till I was 18.

You feel compelled to. I mean really what better reason then your sense of curiosity says so? If you need additional reasons though: You want to go to a museum or gallery, you like wandering around this town or other towns, you want to hangout in coffee shops and discuss stuff and things. You like books, you like movies, you like music. Hell if you think you can teach me to appreciate sports. You want to make something together. You want someone to play those childhood games where you start with one line of a story and swap back and forth till you finish the story. You need a partner for adventure and intrigue, possibly you might just want someone to listen to you. Or you might just be seeking a pen pal and that's cool to.
