I am cool, calm, and collected.
My Self-Summary
I’m French and hopefully fluent in English like most of you. It
comes from the fact that I have lived in London for a few years
back in 1998, and then studied English back in Paris. I’m here to
make new (preferably female) acquaintances to share my opinions, be
they musical or other. Being single I would love to meet a girl who
defines herself as cool, calm and collected. I currently live in
Paris, the dirtiest but coolest city in the world.
What I’m doing with my life
Mostly music. I’m studying music at the American School of Music,
and practicing hard on my instrument (the drums) so as to achieve a
professional level that will allow me to teach and do recording
sessions. I’m involved in several different musical projects that I
would love to see grow to a professional level. However I’m not
just a big music nerd I also have a life which I enjoy spending
with my friends. I also enjoy some time alone to lay back and
meditate.
I’m really good at
Playing the drums.
The first things people usually notice about me
Strange question which I don’t want to answer myself. It is not for
me to say and I never entered people’s heads as they met me for the
first time so as to determine what it is they first noticed about
me.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I’m not such a big bookworm but one book that has captivated me and
will keep me thinking for years about a lot of stuff is 1984 by
George Orwell.
I don’t want to list all my favourite movies here because there’s
too many of them, however I can tell you I’m an unconditional fan
of Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott,
David Fincher, Takeshi Kitano, Michael Cimino, Monty Python
(especially Terry Gillam as a director) …
When it comes to music, I am open to absolutely all styles of music
from jazz to world music, from latin music to trip-hop, but most of
all I have always been profoundly immersed in a rock/metal
(progressive/alternative) culture, and will always remain so.
As for food, I am an omnivorous.
The six things I could never do without
My friends & family, my CD collection, my drumset, my little
MIDI keyboard, my PSP (which I mostly use as a music/movie player),
beer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music. Rhythm construction. Ways to express myself in all of my
artistic projects. Existential issues. Environmental issues. The
Universe, how it came about, how immeasurably huge it is and how
fast it is expanding. People I care about. Things that decency
would not allow me to point out here.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working a boring job to pay for my studies, and on Saturday and
Sunday as well. Since I’m pretty sure that did not answer the
question I will turn the formula into “On a typical day off night I
am” : out there boozing with my friends, playing pool in the pubs,
or partying at someone’s place, or simply at home by myself
relaxing, watching a movie or composing music in a more laid back
state of mind.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
The thing with private things is that they’re private so it
wouldn’t really make any sense to write them here at public
display.
You should message me if
You’re into music, whether a professional or an amateur or simply a
global music lover, and want to share your musical opinions and/or
experiences with me.
You’re someone I could practice my written and spoken English
with.
You’re looking for a badass drummer or your next progressive rock
and/or metal project.
You’re an available, young, open-minded, mature, well-educated,
cool, optimistic, life-enjoying, fun, light-hearted chick that is
seeking a new friendship and/or (preferably) a long-term
relationship. It should do if you fit at least three of the above
adjectives. If you fit all of the above, I’m not worthy.
