My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
UPDATE: I have just moved back to California and will be updating my profile a bit more...soon. :-)

Hello there! Yes you, I'm talking to you! Don't you just love writing these self-summary introductions? Wondering if these words ever make any kind of impression, or will they sound too much like the next or previous person's introduction? As with many a great and not-so-great works of literature, music, painting, movie plot, or play, it's all been done (or written) before. Getting to know the person, in person, away from the 2-dimensional monitor display of who or what it is we are looking at, that's where we discover the uniqueness, the personality, the quirkiness, the true individuality we discover that matters.

I moved here from Kirkland, Washington (the PNW, near Seattle) and now live in Rancho Cordova, CA. I have moved around quite a bit (mostly throughout California) prior to living in Washington state for about 5 years. I am college educated, have done a few adventurous things, have been a creative and musical person. If you want to learn the details or just want to get to know me better, write to me! I prefer to get to know someone in person, face to face. Thanks!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Actually, I'm working towards a career change (or better yet, a life change), shooting for something more IT technical with some room for creativity. Just ask for more details, if we meet.

I'm also on this new exercise kick, (running, strength training, eating healthier) trying my best to stay in shape and healthy, especially now that I am in my 40's.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Figuring out a more economical way of completing a task.
Oh, and I can play guitar pretty well (at least that's what I've been told) but haven't picked it up in a long time. I like to think I can cook fairly well too.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You know, I've never really been too concerned about this, and never had a reason to ask. If you get to know me, perhaps you can tell me?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Oh man - this requires more writing space here. I'll name a few favorites: Breaking Bad, Dexter, Doctor Who, Newsroom, Dark Knight, Fight Club, Inception, Most Coen Brothers' movies.

Food: Italian, Mexican, sushi (or good seafood in general).

Music: I have a wide variety of musical interests, from alternative, to jazz, to classic rock and even a little R&B.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee
Dark chocolate
Music
Fresh air (why I lived in the PNW)
Sunshine (and I lived in the PNW?)
My phone
My computer
My new running shoes
(Okay, I've written more than 6...)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My next move - literally, figuratively.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Glad the week is over!
It used to be that I was always concerned about trying to find something fun and/or adventurous to do before the weekend arrived. Be it a dinner party, pub crawl, wine tasting, hiking, sailing, paragliding (did that once, would like to again), dancing, a movie, or just getting together with friends and improvising.

Now I spend most of my time working on changing my career. It's a long shot, but I am working towards a goal that I have had my sights on for a few years now. It's a story to be told over beverages, or coffee, dinner, or a good walk. Are there any decent scenic places for walking in or around Lodi?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Yeah right. Then it wouldn't be private! ;-)
