The hopeless romantic in me really loves that quote, and when you break it down, that's all I really want: someone that I really like and who feels the same about me. Is that too much to ask?

The best way to describe me is a split between right and left brain. I'm a software engineer by day and a photographer by night, so both sides of my brain get equal time to shine, which I think is important. So it would be nice to find someone that I can geek out with one minute and then create something amazing with the next. Girls that are into photography and/or modeling are a big plus. Or anything creative really. The geeky/artsy balance is an important one.

Since I am an engineer at heart I always like to have some little project going; I love to design and build things. Usually pretty random and pointless things, but it lets me exercise my problem-solving skills.

I also enjoy video games and nerdy sci-fi movies, but I also love anything that makes me laugh. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart so I can always enjoy a romantic comedy.

Given that I'm a nerd I'm not very athletically inclined; every sport I have ever tried has not turned out well, but I still like to try on occasion. I moved to Colorado last June and have been giving snowboarding a try, though I still have a little ways to go. I also enjoy white water rafting, canoeing (float trips!), swimming, kayaking (still learning); most things that involve water. I've also been dabbling in bouldering and rock climbing lately. Mountain biking is on my list of things to try...

Music is also a big part of my life; I was in band all through high school and college so I always have time to stop and listen. I love most music, except country. I'm a big fan of 80's music and I think Journey might be one of the best bands of all time.

I like a lot of TV shows as well: Dexter, Californication, Weeds, Spartacus, HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, Glee.

I love to cook and bake, though doing either for one person is a little pointless, so I don't do it much. But give me a reason to and I will. :-)

I recently rescued a Beagle mix named Zoey; she's super sweet and super cute. She deserves a good home and I'm doing my best to make sure she gets one.

I currently work as a Mobile Software Engineer for a local .com company (I write iPhone apps) which I'm really enjoying and when I'm not doing that I try and come up with personal projects to work on.

I also love photography and try to do that as much as I can when I'm not working. It'd be awesome if I could someday make a living from shooting.

I like to think I'm pretty good at taking pictures.

Anyone who knows me would say I'm good at being inappropriate. It's all in good fun though.

I'm pretty good in the kitchen if given a good reason to cook.

Lately I've just been relaxing at home by myself watching a movie or something. Occasionally I'll hit up happy hour after work on Fridays with my fellow co-workers.
