Why is he so damn happy all the time?

And i didn't even realize it until friends and family started bringing it up a few years ago. I think its taken off to new levels since post-college too, which seems contradictory now that we have this thing called responsibility to worry about!

But the way I see this "real world" is that every new day is an opportunity to learn more about absolutely anything (anything i say! business, philosophy, eskimos, dirt, you name it), to meet interesting new people who all have unique backgrounds and perspectives, to connect the dots and themes of what we're all doin here on this planet, and to just become more... awesome at life!

Books: A complete sucker for John Steinbeck - Of Mice and Men, Grapes of Wrath, in the delayed process of finishing East of Eden. But also a big fan of "self-help" (terrible name for the category) reads, mostly on sales/marketing and personal goal-setting.

TV/Movies: And my inner fantasy/sci geek is reflected in my top movies/shows - Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Game of Thrones, and Lost! Pumped up for the Hobbit film this winter too!

Music: Born and raised on classic rock thanks to my pops, and will love the timeless sounds of my guitar heroes till the day I die - Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Boston (eargasm every time...), Pink Floyd, Queen, Rush, and the likes.

Easy to spend too much time thinking of yesterday, tomorrow, a month from now, a year from now, and beyond.

But I make a personal point to focus on the present.

A beautiful quote - “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”

Celebrating the trials and tribulations of another week's worth of experience in the tech start-up world. (This could very easily mean starting the weekend recovery process on my couch to a movie. With effective motivation/peer pressure, I can definitely be convinced to behave like I am in my 20's, as I am, and hit the town)

Well, for the purposes of a site in which it simply makes the most sense to be open and honest with you, while we share our little daily hobbies and interests, its probably this:
I am a diehard fan of really heavy metal music!
