Hello girls...

This internet dating stuff is kind of different huh! I wonder what our great grandparents would have thought of it...

So lets get to it. My name is Matt. To learn about me... well, I could tell you first - that I was a shy geek growing up... cute enough to get some attention from the girls in my high school... but too shy to do anything with it... (my first three girlfriends broke up with me for the same reason: "he doesn't talk") ... no joke!

I've come out of my shell since then, but I still have a strong rooted "geek side". Actually life has gotten pretty interesting since my teen years...I’m a Treasury Agent for the United States Government. I’m the proud father of a two year old puppy named Layla and be forewarned she may get jealous! I love going to Phillies games, out for some sushi, or best of all....wait for it....karaoke!

I’m not looking for the trophy girlfriend, I’m much more interested in personality. You don’t have to be a model for us to get along, but if you are a model, please prove to me that you're not ALL bat shit crazy ; )

But seriously, I am looking for something like this:

But if I don't find it here, I am not too concerned, 'cause I have already got a plan B, seen here: lol j/k!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
The things I love most! (what else is there?) I stay up late and get up early. Burning the wick from both ends is a reasonable description of my typical day. I’m a horrible morning person and people who are “chipper” at 5:45am baffle me! If I lived in the White House, I wouldn’t allow myself to have access to the launch codes before coffee. That said, I love getting out of bed each and every day because I have an irresistible passion for living life. When I was young, I did not know what I wanted to be when I grew up. Nonetheless, I found my way into a fascinating career with the US government that’s proven to be quite an adventure.

I am the contested champion of totally interesting yet useless information. I’ve always got several books going…literally all open at the same time…I like to lay them out on the floor and attempt to absorb 3 or 4 at once. That process was going sort of slow, so I decided to temporarily revert back to old reliable one at a time. They say Einstein had a similar issue – I’m currently doing some research on the topic.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love playing piano. I once played a Beatles cover for my mom and she cried – yes, it was that bad – but I’ve come a long way since.

Hearing my alarm clock and believing that it's a sound in my dream and therefore I don't actually have to wake up.

Keeping state secrets
The first things people usually notice about me

I talk to random people all the time
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

OK way too much to name, so I'll just go top favorites...

Books: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, To Kill a Mockingbird, the U.S. Constitution (not technically a book, but hey it’s only the most important document written this millennium)

Movies: Departed, Knocked up, Supertroopers, Rocky, Shawskank Redemption, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas

Music: Classic and modern rock (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Oasis, Journey, The Killers)

Food: Sushi...I'm addicted
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Six things? I don’t need that many things. Family, friends & coffee – the rest just seems to fall into place.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How probably the greatest harm done by vast wealth is the harm that we of moderate means do ourselves when we let the vices of envy and hatred enter deep into our own natures.

...and of course, knock knock jokes
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Reading to the blind / walking old ladies across the street / working on curing cancer / eating more than Michael Phelps / building orphanages for puppies that can't bark / staying humble and not trying to press the envelope of greatness
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I still love the muppets....who's going to argue with that. What's your favorite muppet?
