I don't tend to answer these kinds of questions with things like, "I'm too complex to be summed up in one paragraph," but really, I think most people are. That said, I'll give it a try! I recently got out of a long and healthy relationship that just happened to run its course. I have no aversion to getting back into another one, I'm just rolling with the punches for now. I love to have fun (and I'm open to anything that could be considered fun), but I also love to just hang out, relax, and be happy.

I'm awful at thinking of things to say about myself. I like to think that I'm perfectly interesting, but when asked to give an example, my mind goes blank. I guess that's just all the more reason to ask me a question of your own!

A quick note: If anything about my "personality" breakdown strikes you funny, feel free to ask me about it! I just found out that OkCupid thinks that I'm 0% artistic. And I'm in art school. Who is to say what other brilliant observations it might make?

I'm currently in the middle of my third year of college, majoring in photography. I would love to be a photographer of any kind. Actually, I wouldn't mind getting paid to do anything artistic (or musical). But I guess I should stay focused on one thing in particular.

photography (hopefully), making music of various types (hopefully), being patient, cooking (good is a relative term)

Books: I have to admit that I'm down with Harry Potter. Other than that, I'm getting into lots of classic Russian literature lately. I also tend to read a lot of humor books authors like Jon Stewart, Bill Bryson, Al Franken, Douglas Adams.

Music: Depends on the day of the week. My old stand-bys include A Perfect Circle, Dave Matthews Band, David Gray, Coldplay (I know, I know), Mute Math, Katatonia, U2, Peter Gabriel, Porcupine Tree, The Music, Insomnium, Abandoned Pools, Fair to Midland, Mew, Devin Townsend, Joe Satriani, Santana, Killswitch Engange, Phish, Mudvayne, Muse, Sevendust, Tool, and I also have a severe weakness for 80's New Wave. Overall my taste is pretty schizophrenic; some days I have cravings for Michael Hedges and Beethoven, the next I'll want The Prodigy and Meshuggah.

TV: The Office, Dexter, Weeds, Top Chef, SVU, Community, Top Gear, Iron Chef, King of the Hill...There are more shows that I keep telling myself I need to watch than shows that I actually watch. Go figure.

Movies: The Aviator, Big Fish, Blade, Casino Royale, Dazed and confused, The Fifth Element, Gone Baby Gone, Hero, Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy, Moulin Rouge, Road to Perdition, Star Wars (my DVD case is in alphabetical order, if anyone noticed)

Food: Anything that doesn't still have a head. Cooked would be preferable but is not necessary. Indian, Thai, and Mexican fall nicely into this category for me.

How many hours of sleep I'll get if I actually bother to start my work (I always do my work, and therefore sleep terribly). Oh, and space. It's so big!

I don't seem to have typical friday nights any more. Sometimes I'm hanging out with friends at a bar, sometimes I'm relaxing and watching a bit of TV. I guess I go with the flow.

I would tend to admit anything if asked for in the right way. Unfortunately, like I said before, I'm pretty bad at thinking of random things off of the top of my head, so feel free to ask!
