Made in 1986....lucky to have spent almost all my life here in Santa Barbara.....was born in San Francisco and moved here when I was too young to remember. I briefly went back up there for college to explore my Bay Area origins.....baseball runs deep in my blood, have spent my 20s on a quest to visit all 30 MLB stadiums.....I do my best to rise to the occasion everyday when it's 'time to do what must be done, be a king when kingdom come.....'
What I’m doing with my life
I work at UCSB as an administrator for the neuroscience department. More or less my job entails ordering items like cow brains, formaldehyde, and pipettes galore for mad scientists. Picture Professor Farnsworth from Futurama or Dr. Frankenstein, those are my bosses hahaha.
I play slo-pitch softball, which immerses me in baseball-related activity without facing 90-MPH fastballs. But seriously, it helps me make friends and get exercise.
What else? I've written a column for Noozhawk, I hit the movie theaters every few weeks, take long hikes/walks, hang out at the beach.
Overall, I think its worth mentioning that my life has always been pretty simple, more so now than ever. Never had too much drama. I don't need a whole lot to be satisfied. Appreciation of the simple things, low maintenance etc., I think are good boyfriend qualities.
I’m really good at
You'll find out if you meet me in person.
The first things people usually notice about me
You tell me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite movie is Jerry Maguire. Other than that most baseball and superhero movies. For either TV or movies, anything from Seth Macfarlane (Family Guy, Ted etc.) is my guilty pleasure.
Books? The Hunger Games series I'm into at the moment, also like stuff by Stephen King, Michael Chabon, TC Boyle when I get around to reading.
For food, I'm a pescatarian so seek protein from seafood, tofu, beans or the sofritas from Chipotle. Grapes and bread are my go-tos for quick fillers. As a Californian I'm definitely an avocado aficionado.
The six things I could never do without
Glasses or contacts (or I'm blurry)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The most important people in my life (family, friends etc.), trying
to concentrate more on the present than the past or future.
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Why say if its supposed to be private?
You should message me if
Instead of if how about why? Because I'm the man. More to the point I'm YOUR man! There's a reason I quote Aloe Blacc, and its not because I'm cocky. No way. Its because I'm super reliable, always on time, here for you. I know I'm capable of a long-term relationship. Just ask my closest friends, family, coworkers etc.
