My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like live music and am making a push to get back to seeing more shows. I like dives and have no interest in going to any bar that I have to wait in line for. I am, however, willing to arrive nearly an hour early for the Wednesday night show at Meltdown. I fancy myself witty. I apparently use the word "fancy" as a verb, which is a little troubling. I like taco trucks. I don't think it makes sense to compare the burger at Apple Pan to the one at Father's Office. Both are delicious. Let's see: music, food, some attempt at humor- have I covered the OKC cliches? Great. Oh, wait. Travel. I really like that too. Last trip was Alaska this summer. Alaska is awesome, and not only for the opportunity to take one's picture inside a piece of ice. But that was pretty cool.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've invested many a Sunday afternoon on this one.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sarcasm. Losing my sunglasses. Making Manhattans.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea. This question really should be "what's the most distinguishing thing about you" -- which I would probably also not have a good answer for, but at least it would be the right question.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Hemingway, the Lord of the Rings, Thinking Fast & Slow, Richard Feynman, Camus, Douglas Adams, James Baldwin. I just read The Great Gatsby and didn't care for it. Although that experience may have been tainted by the fact that I had to check it out from the "young adult" section of the library. Which apparently requires one to be escorted. But I also didn't think it was that remarkable of a book. The last line is pretty good though.

The Big Lebowski, Point Break, Caddyshack, Almost Famous, The Usual Suspects, Spaceballs, Bull Durham.

30 Rock, West Wing, Sports Night, Battlestar Gallactica, Breaking Bad, The Wire

Radiohead, REM, Rolling Stones, Wilco, the Avett Brothers, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Jack White, Macklemore, the XX, the National. A bunch more, which you can probably fill in by now. Always up for learning new stuff.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
funny people
good coffee
good whiskey
live music
seeing new places
fish tacos

yep, those are six things that I simply could never do without.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
whether humans would win in a war against elephants, under the following circumstances:

1) the elephants know that they are at war
2) the elephants strike first
3) its the bronze age

This has been something that I've spent way too much time discussing with my friends over the years. I debated whether to include this, for obvious reasons.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out with my friends, drinking beer or whiskey, being foolish. the degree of foolishness influenced by whether I'm drinking the former or the latter.
