i'm not very good about going on and on about myself, so here are some miscellanea about me:

my eyes are sometimes green and sometimes blue.

i love people watching, especially with a nice glass of wine and some cheese.

i can curse in five languages.

kissing is one of my favorite forms of exercise.

i'm a sucker for good architecture. and pretty pictures.

i like nothing better on a sunday morning than to cuddle up in bed with the ny times and trash the wedding announcements.

i do not understand people who don't like spicy food.

my friends call me chew.

Books: cultural studies, history, anthro, and art & design stuff. vanity fair, new yorker, the atlantic. sedaris (david and amy), morrison, vowell. some favorites are cloud atlas, naked, auntie mame, les miserables, the forgetting room, the hitchhiker's guide....

Movies: vicky christina barcelona, amelie, waiting for guffman, brazil, 8 femmes, all about eve, the women, showgirls, drop dead gorgeous, dangerous liasons, paris je t'aime, princess bride... (for starters)

TV Shows: strangers with candy, little britain, the daily show & colbert report, family guy, arrested development, weeds, 30 rock, c-span, glee, archer, modern family, project runway & top chef, downton abbey...

Music: i'm a big fan of rhythm and harmony, and sometimes even melody...everything from pop to rock to dance to folk to classical to opera and even a little country.

Food: there are few cuisines which i don't like, though i do have a special place in my heart for french, mexican, and indian food (duck confit enchilada in curry sauce, perhaps?)

And of course, NPR rocks my world.
