I don't treat dating like a numbers game, meaning I won't contact you if I haven't thought this through and think we'll hit it off (yes, I read your profile). Also, chances are you are not a Republican, don't quote Ayn Rand out of context and don't take yourself, or life, too seriously (this does not make you irresponsible, however). Most importantly, you don't seem like the kind of person who imposes their beliefs or agendas on others.

I think people need to have at least one passion in their life. For me it's music. If I ever question why we're here, music gives me the answer. I love to listen to music, see live music and make music with friends/bandmates or alone.

I am definitely not looking to take things fast. I'd like to find someone with whom I have chemistry and good conversation and a few laughs and then let things happen. If you're in a rush to move in, get married or want kids, I'm not the guy for you. In fact, if you ever want (more) kids I'm not for you. I am divorced with joint custody of two little ones - 11 and 8 - so I'm done populating the earth. I'm a very devoted father and they are a huge part of my life, but I also make time for a separate adult life.

Not achieving anything world-changing. Enjoying my career, kids, friends, colleagues, and the little things I like:

- going to "adult" movies
- seeing live music
- playing tennis
- pondering my naval (alone)
- reading
- crossword puzzles
- wine and tapas
- exercising
- playing guitar

Nothing. Jack of a bunch of trades, master of none.

I've never considered dating a woman because she read Kitchen Confidential - and I'm sure you feel the same, however, I like non-fiction - mostly history. Movies make lousy dates - I prefer to go alone. Unless you like to hold hands - that's fun at a movie. I like dark comedies, action and the rare good slapsticky Apatow-type movie. I don't go to plays much, but comedy/improv is fun. Music is my thing, but I had a great relationship with a woman who couldn't relate to music at all, so what does that say? And as far as food goes, if you're reading this you're still alive, so I am sure you eat. We'll find something in common.
