I've been living in Iowa City since January. I'm an artist that was living out in New York. I grew up on a small farm south of Iowa City and it's good to be back near my family, although it's most likely temporary.

I'm just looking for someone fun and interesting to go out with, maybe grab a drink or a bite to eat, or a live show, or do whatever you like to do for fun, nah mean? I gravitate towards artistic types, but I'll keep an open mind. Doctors are welcome too. ;)

Doing the starving artist thing. Teaching community college art and living the American Dream. Trying to figure out what's next, while trying to enjoy the present moment.

Books: I read quite a bit, mostly non-fiction, lots of eastern philosophy. I'm reading Maharishi's book on transcendental meditation right now.

Movies: Ghost Dog, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, Cave of Forgotten Dreams, The Big Lebowski, Wes Andersen & Woody Allen are also favorites..

Shows: Real Time with Bill Maher, Game of Thrones, Flight of the Conchords, River Monsters.

Music: Kurt Vile, Leonard Cohen, Alt-J, Bob Dylan, Bright Eyes, The Chromatics, Nirvana, Elliott Smith, Sufjan Stevens, The Pixies, Tom Waits, Sharon Van Etten - I love music..
