I'm a highly functional, highly capable, bright, sweet, and introspective man. I'm liberal, compassionate, rational, reasonable, and romantic. I'm running a couple of small companies and an environmental non-profit from my home office. I hike, try to be a good role model for my cat, read various newspapers, go on adventures, cook, and try to make the world a little better with every day.

Solving all kinds of problems from computers, to electronics, carpentry, plumbing, automotive repair, and an increasingly large list of legal issues. I'm really handy to have around. I'm an inventor and entrepreneur. I start and run companies, try to save the planet, and generally enjoy what I do. I follow through on projects and finish what I start. In the social realm, I'm great at being loyal and supportive. I'm a friend for decades. I like good communication, and am compassionate. Have been told on numerous occasions that I would be great father material, and I tend to agree.

My intelligence, my voice, the ability to connect, my eyebrows, and sense of humor. Oh, and my trim and athletic physique....no doubt.

Favorite books include Into Thin Air, The Conscience of a Liberal, Breakfast of Champions, Fast Food Nation, The Omnivore's Dilema. Favorite movies include Dr. Strangelove, Repo Man, Fargo, Big Fish, The Lives of Others, and Diva. As for music, I'm an omnivore, I love just about anything good, but have to say that Beethoven's 9th symphony always makes me wildly joyful. Love all sorts of food, everything from Indian to Thai to Italian to greasy spoons. Currently subscribe to 3 newspapers, and am simply in awe of the NY Times.

Various daily disastrophies, what can be done to make the planet last us another 1,000 years, the future of humanity, all manner of critters, my future, and the mundane details of life. I like to think about how I would fix the world if I were in charge. Seems so easy, I just don't understand why nobody's done it! Crazy, I say.

Watching the PBS News Hour, etc., especially Gwen Ifill. Would like to invite her over for dinner, maybe with Bill Clinton.
