I love the ground. Any time that I have fallen, it has been there for me. Sometimes it is cold, but living in the south, it is often warm. It never judges. Whether you come at it from near or far, if you come at it too fast, it may just slap the silly right out of you when you land. Okay, maybe I don’t love it quite as much as I thought. We’ve been too close too often.
I am generally a very relaxed guy and don’t let things that others do bother me. We are on this planet for a finite amount of time and should make our time here pleasant and enjoyable. I do have my quirks though. My DVD collection is alphabetized as are my books. If you use the last square of paper, please change the roll... rolling over not under. I’m sure that I have other odds and ends that I do without noticing. I won’t hold it against you if you don’t do the same… we must all walk our own paths.
I am currently retired. I spent twenty years working my way through management, training, benefits administration, and human resources in the retail environment. I have returned to school; still not sure what I want to do when I grow up. I don’t know that I will ever know what I want to do… I mean, there is just so much out there so why stop? I like to wear ties. Sadly, as I am retired, I don't have many opportunities to wear them.
I am introverted. This means that I may be very shy at first. Please don’t confuse my silence with indifference. I am not a big fan of crowds which might seem odd for one that trained people. Heights are not a great deal of fun either, but it’s not the fall that bothers me… it’s that sudden stop at the end that I mentioned earlier. I am a dog person and miss having one around. My Siberian Husky was in my life for over thirteen years. He was my best buddy before he passed away.
I try to find humor in things. I like to smile and laugh. I’m also starting to wonder if this rambling is all about me. Oh wait, I guess it is. I hope you have found things we have in common.
I am always looking for new friends. I would like to find a best friend with whom chemistry might lead into something more.
