...working M-F, 9 to 5 for a large european enterprise software
company in a business role.
...attending more live music concerts. In the past 12 months: Dave
Matthews Band, Keane (opened by Youngblood Hawk), Passion Pit
(opened by Matt and Kim), George Clinton, Metric, Snoop Dogg and
The Killers. Later this year: at least one opera and one symphony
performance, maybe the Stones? Visiting more museums and touring
collections when the weather is poor.
...enjoying the company of some excellent new surfing, camping and
motorcycling friends. And continuing to meet more new people.
...I've been fortunate to have already done a lot and seen a lot.
Lived in Malaysia for a year. Flown in a glider, skippered a sail
boat in the Caribbean and between neighboring Pacific islands,
stayed at some nice hotels and backpacker guest houses, rode a
snowmobile within the european arctic circle, scuba dived within
hands reach of numerous sharks and turtles, wandered among many
asian and european countries, soaked in the hot springs of Niigata
Japan watching the first snowfall, et. al. It's been a good life so
far; looking forward to more.
Recharging by being more analog through: cooking, riding my 1996
motorcycle and learning to maintain it on my own, surfing, plush
car camping on occasion with a 3" sleeping pad, large
bonfires/campfires, good company and scotch (or bourbon), making
things by hand, printing some of my photographs from my +400
gigabyte collection of my travels domestically and abroad.
