My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'd say I'm politically engaged, concerned with social justice, gender/race politics and how bias plays out in our culture. Really into music, making and listening. Also dedicated to visual art. working on a portfolio ------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been a bit of a transient but now looking to establish a permanent home here in Portland. This after having lived and worked in South Korea, gone to school in Portland, Oregon, San Francisco, Boston, NYC....the list goes on. Slowly earning a Masters in Education and making art and music when I can.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
making stuff, including textiles, both textile art and the stuff you wear. I'm actually new to making my own clothing, so if you're into this, maybe we could help each other on projects. I'm also a "drummer". Not sure why, but I feel this word belongs in quotes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Instead I wrote you a haiku about my cat:

Soft with paws so small
Quietly watches leaves fall
Wants to kill them all
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My music taste is maybe hard to characterize so I'll just name names like Deerhoof, Swans, St. Vincent, Bill Callahan, John Maus, Destroyer, Mojave 3, M83, and a lot of great electro pop my Montreal friends make. I try not to listen to the same stuff for too long. It just becomes about the nostalgia and that's when it gets gross for me.

As for films, I'm open to a lot stuff not out of Hollywood. And I'm not just trying to sound high minded because this is OKC. I'm pretty sure commercial films do some sort of subtle yet long term damage. Corporate art/music/film is why everyone's so cynical I do believe.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Passport is number one. Also pencils, paper, camera, film editing software: things I use to make content for my tumblr addiction
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what my cat is thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Like I said, I'm sort of new here, so right now my Friday nights are spent filling out questionnaires on what I do Friday nights.

You want to form a band, or you want to chat over coffee/drinks, or you want to practice French. I'm probably at an advanced-beginner-ish level right now, but I'm quickly getting better. what I need is to converse with actual humans instead of my mp3 player.
