I am creative, nostalgic, and daring.

My Self-Summary

I work in downtown Brooklyn in digital media. I enjoy the company of good friends. I'm nostalgic and I love b/w movies, film noir etc. I've been told I have a uniquely cool personality and I'd be boring without the experience of growing up a jaded New Yorker. I'm capable of long discourse with regards to Victorian detective fiction, as well as the prints and prose of the Romantic eccentric William Blake...snore lol.

Brunettes, Racquet sports, and film; In that order! Friday night barfest followed by hungover visits to the Met, or if I'm lucky the Neue Galerie's Cafe Sabarsky for brunch. I have a not so secret crush on Rashida Jones from Parks and Recreation. My musical taste varies from a lot of 80s to classic rock and hip-hop.

What I’m doing with my life

Actively working in NYC (Brooklyn) and commuting to New Brunswick. My day begins at 5:45 am and ends when I get to my apt. at 7pm

I’m really good at

Conversation, minutiae, remembering details. Being an awesome friend to those in my circle. Also anything web-related.

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

David Foster Wallace's "Infinite Jest" Kerouac's "On the Road, Orwell's "1984" and anything by Bret Easton Ellis... In terms of movies I usually prefer indie or foreign movies. Growing up I was spoiled by having the greatest niche video store (Mondo Kim's) within walking distance of my apt, so that's had an indelible impression on me. I'm very open to all kinds of food and music. In terms of music I like the following bands The Chameleons, Stone Roses, Bob Dylan, Bon Iver, Pete Seeger, DEVO, Depeche Mode, OMD, Scooter, Oingo Boingo, Split Enz, Cut Copy, Atari Teenage Riot, Psychedelic Furs, The Kinks, The Knife / Fever Ray, MGMT The Smiths, Talking Heads, Joy Division, the Pixies, Public Enemy, Steely Dan, The Skids, The Doors, Sparks, Armoury Show, The Replacements, Paul Hardcastle, Peter Godwin, Janes Addiction, They Might Be Giants, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, Teddybears STHLM, Gangstarr, The Jam, Prezioso, MF Doom, XTC, Land of the Loops, Kraftwerk, Vampire Weekend, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Husker Du, Arctic Monkeys, The Editors, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blu Jemz (DJ), Spoon, and of course The Pains of Being Pure at Heart :)

Passion Pit - The Reeling

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Where I'd like to spend my retirement lol.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out with friends, enjoying TGIF

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Hehe nice try...I guess you'll have to find out ;)

You should message me if

You like good music and are cool. If you're the type of girl who likes a nice guy.
