Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a pretty easy going guy and I'm down for almost anything.
Smarter than your average bear. I'm interested. Just as at ease
hanging on the couch, in a dive bar, eating sushi (I love sushi),
or at an art gallery. My interests vary and my tastes are eclectic.
I absolutely love music and live concerts. I like long walks. Not
in the romantic sense, mind you, I like to walk and think. I pace.
I've been told I'm restless, charming, and sincere. I adore women
and have a number of women friends. Some people think that's odd, I
just think women are interesting and generally more intelligent.
Sue me. I know who I am and I like it. I hate being called a "boy",
It took me a long time to become this man. I'm smiling right
I've visited a large portion of the continental U.S., traveling
through and staying in every state East of the Mississippi River.
The West is the best though. I've lived in Los Angeles, Tampa,
worked at a ski resort in the Colorado Rockies, Cleveland (does
that even count?) but I always end up back in the Burgh. What can I
say, it's home.
-Most recently I was traveling in the Middle East. Ask I guess.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a high school history teacher in a local district, teaching a
variety of subjects including Psychology. Don't worry, I'm not a
total dork. I like to think I wear many hats. I don't sit still
very well, so I'm always on the go.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Stupid trivia, eating out and drinking red wine. I like to exercise
and hit the gym regularly as well - and that includes yoga. Chasing
down interesting things and studying people. Having meandering
conversations. Putting people at ease.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm fit? I'm told I have nice eyes and lips, but it could be the
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I should be reading more books, but I'm more of a news/intellectual
magazine junkie - NY Times, The Atlantic, Slate, Harpers,
I love movies. Cool Hand Luke is the best, but picking favorites is
a fools errand. Anything but horror...that a'int for me.
Breaking Bad was amazing. Now I'm onto Better Call Saul. It's
fantastic. No Reservations, some boring history-style
The Avett Bros., The Shins, Phish, My Morning Jacket. I think it
best to just name genres: Classical, 20's - 60's Jazz, 60's - 70's
Rock, Blues, Funk, Motown, Alternative, Gangsta Rap, Older Country,
Jambands, Nerd Rock, Indie Rock... I even went to the symphony a
few times last year.
Did you ever notice how many people say they listen to
"everything", but then you look at their list and think, "I have no
idea who half of these bands are?" Clearly "everything" has a lot
Oh! And Bluegrass. Definitely Bluegrass.
Food, food, food - Sushi, Thai, Mexican, Vietnamese, let's eat!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Iphone (because I'm endlessly reading articles)
Good food. Define at will.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Who knows. I'm a history teacher, my mind tends to wander. Why do
so many women post pictures from a thousand miles away?
I know we live in a more traditional male-dominated society, but
why won't more women reach out and message men? I'm all for
Thinking about thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging with friends, eating and drinking. Perhaps a concert.
Saturdays are for food, relaxing, and movies on the couch. Ok, ok,
day activities - then couch.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
While I'm ultimately looking to settle down, it isn't tomorrow, and
I can be obnoxiously picky. Even though my day-to-day can be
mundane, I have a wild side that I can't ignore - you have to be
okay with that. I overuse commas (and I have no idea why). I'm a
sucker for romance, it's usually tied to the red wine.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're looking to hang out, you have some idea of what you want out
of your future, and you fancy yourself an intelligent woman. You're
independent and you have a strong free-spirited streak, but you're
looking for a partner in crime. Ambitious and driven, successful,
at times arrogant. You enjoy learning about new things and trying
new experiences. I may be a sucker for a beautiful woman, but a
woman with a brain can melt me.
*For some reason I tend to not like women from Pittsburgh. I love
this town, I champion it, but out of towners get a leg up.
