Hi there! The name's Matt, I'm a native Bostonian and a recent law school graduate. I'm sarcastic, a little weird, and entirely geeky. I enjoy going out for trivia or making a fool out of myself at karaoke or on the dance floor (or any floor after a few drinks) but I'm not a get trashed every weekend kind of guy and I can have just as much fun at home with a few close friends. I like cooking, hate cleaning, and while I used to write creatively law school put a stop to that. I also ebjoy going to independent theaters and checking out local bands. I consider myself a Secular Humanist, a Feminist, and a LGBT ally and am generally passionate about equal rights

When I was a kid I was punished multiple times for reading because I would read past my bedtime and during school. My love for books hasn't changed.

I just finished up my 3rd and final year of law school so I'll be spending about two months slowly killing myself with boredom studying for the bar. I hope to eventually work in public interest law or Prosecution and have often volunteered in the past.

Being a sarcastic smartass. Also I dont know if I'm good at it but I'm starting to really enjoy cooking.

Update. after much experimentation and a few burned quiches I now know I am not at all good at cooking but I enjoy it anyhow.

People often comment on the fact that I wear sarcastic T-shirts. Trying to get as much use out of them as possible before I'm officially stuck in a suit and tie everyday.

My favorite books are usually sci fi and fantasy but I will read just about anything. I enjoyed the Wheel of Time, A Song of Ice and Fire, as well as some comics, This is just a short list I LOVE books, I must have been the only kid to ever get in trouble for reading.

Movies- I have incredibly broad tastes in movies I have soft spots for sci fi/fantasy and oldschool horror though. some faves are Blade Runner, Fight Club, American History X, Sin City, LoTR, Se7en, Garden State. Batman Begins and Dark Knight, Serenity, Star Wars (4-6), The Secret of Nimh, Miyazaki Films etc.

Music- lots of alternative and progressive with my overall favorite being Tool and The Smashing Pumpkins. I've been listening to a lot of Passion Pit, Walk the Moon, and Childish Gambino lately. Hopsin is probably the best Rapper I've ever heard.

Food- I love food in general. Off the top of my head I don't like tomatoes or sushi but thats about it. Oh and I love spicy food. I actually once tried a ghost chili. That was a terrible idea

TV- Currently watching Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Community, Walking Dead & Doctor Who. Things I have on dvd or just still love- Angel, Buffy, Firefly, Farscape, Futurama, Avatar tLA, Berserk, Beck, Now and then Here and There, Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, Haibane Renmei.

Videogames- Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Psychonauts, The Legacy of Kain, Metal Gear Solid, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Breath of Fire 3, Secret of Mana, Bastion, The Walking Dead

Why is Law School more like Middle School than College? Now that I'm graduating. Oh god Oh god I still don't have a long term job. How do I keep losing my I-pod charger/Headphones?

Depends what I feel like doing out drinking with my law school friends, playing videogames with my roommates, screwing around on the internet (specifically TV Tropes and Reddit), and at either the Brattle or Coolidge Corner theater seeing something different are all valid answers.

Sometimes I wish there were a socially acceptable male form of high heels so it would be less weird for me to date taller women

My first fictional crush was on Daria from MTV when I was 12. I'm not quite sure what this says about me but I'm sure its something odd.

If whenever you see the two of us bar on profiles you also automatically think "we can make it if we try". More seriously If you like what you read and would like to get to know me better,we have something in common, if you are as geeky as I am.

If your up for meeting for coffee or something after a few days or a week or two of messages not a few hundred. I feel like its impossible to truly know chemistry online and don't see the point of endlessly sending messages back and forth.
