I'm a graduate of Michigan Tech who's been working in Grand Rapids for 6 years now. I've been working at an international aerospace company as a programmer since I graduated, working on our flight management simulation. I enjoy my work, and it keeps me interested.

I'm originally from Lansing, so I spend a lot of time going back and forth from GR to Lansing visiting family. I have 4 siblings, a sister a few years younger than me, and a much younger brother and twin sisters from my dad's second marriage.

I'd like to meet someone who is outgoing and upbeat. Someone who is fun to be around and isn't afraid to do things out of the ordinary sometimes.

Basically trying to make a life for myself here in GR. I wasn't sure I wanted to stay in Michigan for a while after college, but my job is satisfying enough I've decided to stick it out for the long haul.

I like to travel, I've been to Las Vegas, Florida, and have taken a couple trips to Hawaii in the last few years, where I took a helicopter tour over a volcano, and went scuba diving off the Na Pali coast (think Jurassic Park/Pirates of the Carribbean). I also did a lot of traveling as a kid, but that was a while ago. I'd still like to do more traveling and see the world myself.

I'm a big movie buff, I go to the movies two or three times a month, even if there isn't necessarily anything good out. I also like having game nights with friends, where we play board/card/drinking games.

I do what I say what I'm going to do. For some reason people seem surprised by that, go figure.

I've been trying to find some good graphic novels, and trying out some new genres, like historical fiction and non-fiction novels. I've been reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy lately.

I'm a big movie buff, so there are way too many to name here, but a few are: The Dark Knight, The Prestige, Star Trek, The Bourne Series, Marvel movies, Into the Wild, Master & Commander, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones.

I'll also watch any TV show HBO makes, every series they've made has been excellent (Deadwood, The Wire, Game of Thrones and Band of Brothers especially). Just watched Sons of Anarchy on Netflix, and it is probably one of my favorite shows now.

My music selection is always growing. I didn't listen to much music as a kid, so I'm just starting to realize what genres I like. Among my favorites are Flogging Molly, Shinedown, and movie soundtracks. Quite a few others, my music tastes are constantly evolving.

My next big adventure, whether it's vacation, traveling for work, moving to a new place, or just a simple date with a beautiful woman.

Usually relaxing at home on the couch after a long week at work. Having someone to go out with to have some fun with would be a welcome change.

The night the Battlestar Galactica series finale aired, I got really drunk and blasted "All Along the Watchtower" on repeat for about 30 minutes.
