My self-summary
I'm happy, nerdy, adventurous, and loving. I love art and science. I use my nerd powers for social justice, in the software engineering department of a really interesting non-profit. I make all kinds of things: giant sculptures that shoot fire, unusual furniture, food, music, electronic things, mechanical art, costumes, and more. I like to hear about all kinds of creative endeavors, the human experience, what you're reading, and what you believe in.

I dig bicycles, playing music, cooking, making things, board games, learning, hiking to the swimming hole, camping in the mountains, picnics in the park, making art, and making out.

Sometimes I'm quiet, sometimes I'm bold. I have extremely diverse interests. I find beauty in the unexpected details.

I grew up in an isolated but beautiful place, with no TV and lots of books.

I've gone around the world, just me and a pack.

I'm from the northeast. I've traveled enough to have scattered little bits of my heart in assorted far-flung corners of the world. I've been San Franciscan for about seven years now.

I have a kind and respectful nature. I also have a kinky side.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a computer programmer working at a charitable non-profit. I've done some electromechanical design and construction on big art projects. Sometimes I sit in the living room and play guitar.
Last year I spent some time in Sierra Leone, working with organizations that help create new opportunities for people with limited means.
I’m really good at
Once I won a pie-making contest. I like to cook.

I'm pretty good at learning stuff, I love to work with my hands, and I can make just about anything. I'm considered rather adept with knots and rope.

My David Bowie karaoke is unstoppable.

I'm a great guy to have around in the event of unexpected time travel or zombies. I can navigate by the sun and stars, stay calm in an emergency, and treat many injuries. I've foraged for food and water in the wilderness, camped comfortably in the wintertime without a tent, started fires without matches, scaled cliffs, improvised tools, and evaded pursuit. I don't have to do any of those things very often, but I like knowing that I can.
