My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there!

I'm a graduate student and a big bike commuter. I like to hear stories, I like to tell stories. I believe in "story first, safety fourth." I really loved sleep-away camp and fantasize about other worlds where I get to be there all the time. If minimalism were a 1 and consumerism a 10, I'd probably be a 2.8.

I have had 4 of my dream careers since graduating college. Each was better and worse than dreamed of.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I go to one school as a student, and then to other schools as an educator. I change capes in between.

I also lead service learning programs for high school and college students volunteering with grassroots organizations domestically and abroad.

You know how people have a gym buddy with whom they go work out? I have a cleaning buddy. It is the greatest idea ever.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Skipping, fixing things in apartments, improvising lyrics to established tunes, dancing as if nobody's watching, ultimate frisbee, bowling, spontaneity, helping friends move, giving good advice and teaching those of all ages how to ride a bike.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The average number of days since I last shaved is 5.

I spend too much time on slate and deadspin
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- nature
- my journal
- meaningful interactions
- some sort of jewish identity
- newness
- learning
- teaching
- reminders from children how great things can be
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- How I can be the most productive for society
- How I can do everything for free
- Whether other people think that they think about stuff more than other people
- What trade-offs I would make to be bilingual
- Whether my idea for how to create a system so that no food will go to waste in New York will work
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At a potluck dinner or on a bike getting there.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My first job out of college was as a touring stand up comedian. Being demanded to tell people jokes now induces hives.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Some of these might be a good start. You:

- find seders meaningful
- prefer experiences over things
- recycle
- are a feminist
- have considered dumpster diving
- like acro-yoga

And if you want to learn how to ride a bike, please let me teach you. It is one of my greatest pleasures.
