My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I spend my time trying to be friendly and funny. Everything else is an accident.

Just moved to the city and looking to make new friends!

I'm pretty adamant in not taking myself seriously. My favourite conversations tend to be equal parts dumb jokes, big feelings, and complex ideas. I get high off of great conversation.

One of my favourite sensations in the whole world is when you learn something new that's so bizarre that it feels like your brain is just on fire, and you have to take a minute and stop whatever you're doing to let it settle because you want to make sure you remember it for the rest of your life and you just can't wait to talk to more people about it.

I think perhaps the most interesting things that we can do as human beings is the production and consumption of art. The medium is almost irrelevant; movies, music, stand-up comedy, weird symbols you doodle with friends when you're stoned, I just love it.

I think that curiousity and empathy are the two most valuable human traits.

Possibly the singular fact that best sums up my character is my infinite amount of love for the song No Children by the Mountain Goats. See also, everything else John Darnielle has ever sung/written/said/eaten-for-breakfast.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My main priorities include wandering, friendship, laughter, music and climbing things? I don't know man, I just wanna watch cool shit and make cool shit. Say cool shit. Be cool shit. You know how it is, with the life and the whatnot.

Also making enough money to not die of starvation or be homeless. Because I'm ambitious! I just moved to Toronto this month so still building my life here.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Well, I make an effort at trying to be respectful of other people and not hurting them needlessly, so I very much hope I am good at that.

I love words, so I'd like to believe I'm good at using them in interesting ways?

When I noted the collection of clouds in the sky resembled the cover of Heretic Pride, a dear friend of mine said "You are good at referencing the Mountain Goats" and if you also view that as a positive attribute I highly suspect we will get along just fine.

Engaging in cuddle puddles.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm shy as fuck.
I move like you'd imagine a pretzel might.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
(in no particular order)

art (as in, anything made by people.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What it might feel like to hug Sufjan Stevens. Horror movies. Synesthesia. Ways in which I can try to decrease my suckage level as a person. Cookies. Lepht Anonym. Humanities never-ending, clearly futile yet unquestionably important attempts at communicating the ineffable. The people I love. Filmmaking. Mental health.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home with headphones on.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You just licked a toad you think you shouldn't have licked and want to spend your final moments before the poison seeps in hearing a stranger ramble on about his favourite band.

You recently saw a super fucked up movie that made you feel things you don't understand and you're dying to tell someone else about it.

You have a music recommendation or want to talk about something else you're deeply passionate about. If you're passionate, I'm listening, regardless of whether or not it falls within my normal scope of interests.
