My self-summary
This is an essay exam? Oh no, I was hoping for multiple choice or true/false.

*deep breath* Blue book out...and begin.

You should know that there's nothing I love more than a good, elaborate joke or a harmless dare. Because of a dare, I once wrote my name on an economics quiz as "F. Bueller" just to get the professor to say "Bueller? Bueller?" when he handed it out. He did not play along.
What I’m doing with my life
I fix people's computer problems, but it's deeper than that. I'll explain it if you ask.

I really care a lot about health care and making a difference...a lot more than I care about making a six-figure salary and driving a Mercedes. I love what I do, it pays the bills, and I hope you are fortunate enough in life to love what you do.

That said, if I had a million dollars, I'd buy your love.
I’m really good at
Writing articles
Taking pictures
Practicing the piano
Knowing about the next new gadget
Inserting pop culture references into regular conversation
Remembering useless facts
Finding new and interesting places to visit nearby

Also, I'm really bad at:
Reaching things on tall shelves (I'm only 5'7"...so I have to settle for being dark and handsome)
Remembering where I left my eyeglasses
Telling anything less than the whole truth
Regular conversation (probably because of the pop culture references)
Completing online profiles
The first things people usually notice about me
Acquaintances tell me I have nice blue eyes. People also notice my height...or lack thereof.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Freakonomics / Superfreakonomics (Leavitt/Dubner), Our Dumb World (The Onion), A Walk in the Woods, America (Jon Stewart) I Am America, and So Can You! (Stephen Colbert), New Rules (Bill Maher), The Gun Seller (Hugh Laurie)
Movies: Pleasantville, Bruce Almighty, The Truman Show, The Invention of Lying, Idiocracy, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Dumb and Dumber all the 007 movies, some Star Trek
TV: Seinfeld, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Frasier, Arrested Development, House of Cards

But, honestly, I'm cutting back on the television and trying to spend more time outside being active.

Music: Dave Matthews Band, Ben Folds, Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Coldplay, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Herbie Hancock, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, George Gershwin
Food: Italian, Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Thai, American ...pretty much anything with or without meat
The six things I could never do without
(Of course my friends, family and my cat are not THINGS, but they are first and foremost.) But here are six actual things other than the obvious food, clothing and shelter that I could never do without:

A piano
A charger for my cell phone, which always seems to be dying on me
A camera -- "the best camera is the one you have with you"
Internet access of some sort
A good pair of walking shoes
Increasingly, my eyeglasses...getting older STINKS!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What's going on in the news
How to score online (in Scrabble...what were you thinking?)
Trying to be a better person -- seriously, I have a spreadsheet
How I can get Budweiser to compensate me for inspiring the "Mr. Really Really Bad Dancer" commercial (look it up on YouTube)
Why I can't make bulleted lists on OKCupid
On a typical Friday night I am
At a bar, restaurant or a house with a few close friends. Maybe playing a social/competitive board or card game. I'm not a big partier; but I like to go out and be social. A sporting event -- especially Butler basketball -- is a great diversion on occasion. I don't like to go to night clubs or other places where I can't have a real conversation with someone.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If you poke me in the stomach, I will laugh just like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. #stupidhumantrick
