My self-summary
First the normal stuff, I really like going to museums, art shows, and film festivals or the movies in general. I also enjoy watching globe trekring and actually enjoy cooking. I definitely enjoy cycling and have a couple other nerdy hobbies.
I also enjoy studying philosophy and I know that it has been studied to death. Really how much more can we glean from cogito ergo sum, lame. I'm also a big fan of sci-fi from Star Trek to Stargate, but I'm not all that partial to Star Wars.

I enjoy all types of music except for heavy metal and speed metal. I love photography but it doesn't pay the bills so I dedicate my creative talents on how-to-guides. I studied philosophy in school. The only thing I learned in school was how to poke holes in arguments and ideas. I love both art and logic and so I do not understand either one very well.

I also have a son who I try to keep as a big part of my life as possible. He is still really young so I don't think he quite understands who I am yet but I'm working on it.

So that's about it, a synopsis of who I am. After revealing so much about myself you should send me an message saying that it was awesome to know me, how we had such a great time, and that you hope we stay friends.

I am over-analytical, excessively curious, and an idealist
What I’m doing with my life
I make training manuals. No, seriously, I make training manuals.

Also I travel from airport to airport about 7 months out of the year. That's why I'll tell you I love you in the first 2 hours of meeting because I must compress 1 years worth of dating in approximately 4 months of dating. What happened to the 5th month you ask? Vacation days! Off to Ibiza!
I’m really good at
Completely missing the point.
The first things people usually notice about me
Absolutely nothing until I take off my glasses. Then people say "holy crap!"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
1. Pre-Socratic philosophers
2. Everything in the Marvel Universe
3. The Belgariad
a. It's a really cool fantasy novel
4. Haruki Murakami
a. I love and hate this author's books. After I'm done reading them I ask myself the question "why did I just waste my life on that crap," but I can never put it down once I start it even if I have already read the book.
7. Vladmir Nabokov
a. I hate this author he makes me feel so yucky and sad at the same time....
8. Iron Wok Jan
a. This is the manga version of Iron Chef and helps balance all the other dribble I read.

Films:
1. Falling Down
a. At times I can empathize with this movie, and it is super fulfilling to watch someone take their rage all the way.
2. Taeguki
a. I did not cry in this movie because of the fighting between fellow koreans and the separation between family but..... you know what, never mind I didn't cry.
3. Love Story
a. If you didn't cry in this movie then you are an emotionless t-800
4. Annie Hall
a. I love all of Woody Allen's movies they are freaking hilarious. I don't care for the man but I do enjoy his work.
5. The Cell
a. On mute this movie is one of the most visually stunning films ever. With sound on you literally want a dump truck to drive over your head.
6. 27 Dresses
a. Now I wouldn't say I love this film but I thought I should put this in to show the kind of supposed "crap" I can still enjoy, tolerate.... sit through?

I really don't know why I have such a deep appreciation for all films good, classic, terrible, and just plain cheesy but I can watch almost any movie without leaving in the middle (I know, it's a skill).

Music:
Let's be honest, ke$ha is awesome, jk?. I honestly don't know what to say about music because my Ipod holds everything from the rolling stones to common and even Andrea Boccelli, so my taste is pretty eclectic or super general... it depends on how you want to look at it.

Food:
When it comes to food I love to eat good food, but I hate snails, yuck.
The six things I could never do without
The internet, I'm sure YouTube will provide me with the rest.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My own original joke. It eludes me how to deliberately make a joke.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sleeping because I have work on saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have an excellent sense of direction but a poor understanding of geography. My brother and I were traveling through India and as we crossed the border I saw the sign and said "welcome to the city of Bengali."
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–30
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You are a human being. Well I really have no reservations about who I meet. Just send me an email and we can talk. People who have traveled seem super interesting and I would love to get some insight on other countries and their cultures. Or I could be totally wrong and possibly be a closet bigot, you won't know until you try. I am definitely interested in making friends but what I really want is someone who can be my best friend first and then someone special. I know that sounds weird but all of my friends who are in succesful relationships admits to the fact that they were best friends first. So please be aware that I do actually want to meet people. Or maybe not..... meh who knows.
Also if you ran across my profile based upon what our match rating was you should hit the back button. I truly believe the algorithm used to connect you and me is completely off. Every time I check out one of my matches they're reading Kafka or Thomas Pynchon. Post Modernism! Arrrrgghhh! How I hate you!
