My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Obviously I am still looking primarily to meet new potential friends who may become a lifer with me. I promise honesty. I may be a blunt instrument at times, but my heart is in the right place. I have an 10 year old son who I adore and I work as a counselor in the school district of Palm Beach County.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
We all have a reason why we are here and I have a few, but in the journey of healing I am thankful for those who have accompanied me this far and I am looking forward to new friends along the way.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Mostly, I am quite clumsy in my relationship with God, but steadily getting better. I enjoy a lot of things as I am quite handy to have around.
I work well with electronics, children, animals, and people in general.
I play volleyball competitively three times a week and plan on getting back into tournaments in the future.
I am an artist, musician, singer, poet, writer, movie watcher, father, son, brother, uncle, life long student, camper, hiker, sunset watcher, dorky sci-fi guy, who is a jack of all trades, with only a Masters in Mental Health and Marriage and Family Counseling.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books- Bible, 5 Love Languages- G.Chapman, Love and Respect, Boundaries- H. Cloud, Necessary Endings- H. Cloud, Max Lucado, F. Peretti, Shattered Dreams-L. Crabb, The Shack,...

Movies- Silver Linings Playbook, Pain and Gain, Avengers, Slumdog Millionaire, Mozart and the Whale, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Dumb and Dumber,... So many more...

Television- Arrow, Sherlock, Babylon 5, Stargate, Nip Tuck, The Following, New Girl, The Office, The Flash, Arrested Development, 3rd Rock From the Sun, Dexter, Game of Thrones, In Treatment, Spartacus, Dr. Who, Star Trek, The Guild, Dr. Horrible's Singalong, Studio 60, Grimm, The Voice, The Sing Off... Plenty more!

Music: I used to think opera was lame until I took singing lessons in college. I also was raised in a Christian bubble so my music choices are skewed to the Christian variety. Like, Chris Rice, Third Day, Casting Crowns, Petra, White Heart, Stavesacre, David Crowder.
But since exiting that bubble I have found other groups to my liking like U2, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Maroon 5, and varoous others who escape my memory.
I love acappella music and miss singing in a good group!

Food: I am a classic steak and potatoes guy who enjoys most veges. I am getting back in shape so my choices are leaning more healthy these days, but I do enjoy an occasional Mt. Dew.

I do not do drugs, smoke, or drink alcohol. I do not judge those too harshly if they do, but I do work in a treatment program for alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Time with God.
Time with my son.
Being loved/wanted.
Loving others/helping.
Doing something with my hands (I like working with them in art, building, holding loved ones, or just writing/doodling).
Physiological needs- shelter, food, air, water, sex....
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How could I spend more time with my son? Where my next appointment is and the topic of the discussion... Choices made that I should change in the future... It is vague, but I tend to listen to music or talk radio, so my mind goes there when I am not working, playing volleyball, or spending time alone, with family, or friends... Or making improper sentences like these :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Debating on playing some volleyball, spending time with my son or watching Hulu and chatting on Facebook.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am somewhat an open book to those who have earned my trust.
