My self-summary Propose an edit

Where to start? Well I'm a bit of a hippie at heart. Music is my life although I'm not musically inclined in any way (or does dancing count?). I think that there is a song that can be related to every situation and feeling in life. I quote randomly from movies and television shows and tend to do this at inappropriate times. I take things as they come and tend not to get stressed over anything really, though I'm trying to decide whether this is a good quality or not. I have a strong sense of empathy which makes me passionate about issues close to my heart.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I am currently studying a double degree at Wollongong University, journalism and arts (history and politics). I am a bit disillusioned with journalism, as I thought it would be all about helping the little guy, exposing the government, generally meaningful stuff you know. But turns out that's not the case. Oh well, I'll stick at it seeing as I'm already half way through and have paid for half the fees! I'm hoping at this stage that it may lead me into something else, maybe advertising. I don't really have my sights set on anything in particular.

Anything creative, especially writing. I can dance well, usually when I've had a bit to drink though. Oh yeah and a bit of karaoke, I love to make an ass of myself when the occasion calls.

My height (I'm only 5'1). Or maybe my smile. It doesnt take much to make me smile and I'm easily flattered.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

A) Books by Michael Crichton and all the Harry Potter books (I'm an addict). The Time Traveller's Wife had me crying. I'm partial to Bronte books, particularly Wuthering Heights. Loving the Twighlight series at the moment even though It's a young adult series. In general, give me a history book and I'm set.
B) The Shawshank Redemption, The Hot Chick, Little Miss Sunshine, Excesss Baggage, The Breakfast Club, 300, Blade Runner, Detroit Rock City, Benny and Joon, Empire Records, Jurassic Park (it's a guilty pleasure, I used to stay home sick from school to watch it), Anchorman, Fight Club and Star Wars.
C)Sufjan Stevens, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jeff Buckley, Regina Spektor, Imogen Heap, Led Zeppelin, Jose Gonzalez, Fratelli's, Feist, Sleepy Jackson, Basia Bulat, Angus and Julia Stone, MCR (I'm no friggen emo though) Rilo Kiley, Death Cab, Queens of the Stone Age, Paris Wells, Presets, Santogold, Chuck Berry (he absolutely rocks) but most importantly ALL OLD MUSIC!!!........ the list goes on
D) Italian food all the way. Avocado's and Camembert cheese, but just not together.

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit

History, music, how long my foot will have to be in a cast, how depressing it is that I will miss my birthday because my foot is in a cast. Also waiting (very impatiently) for the end of uni semester.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

At the movies, the pub or out dancing with friends. Maybe watching the football at home during footy season.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit

I have a little bit of OCD at times. For instance, when watching TV, the volume can only ever be on an even number or a five. Also, when I hang out the washing, the pegs must be matching colours. Stupid I know.
