My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll.

I have a pug named Penny Lane, though I'd have to say I prefer the Rolling Stones to the Beatles.
I think Tina Fey is a genius of sorts, and I hold a lot of the same beliefs, opinions and habits as Liz Lemon.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, working, and living. Trying not to let the former interfere too much with the latter.

I'm a research analyst at a cable channel that you very likely have strong negative opinions about. (NOT Fox News...I would never...Unless they were willing to give me a 100% raise, pay off all my student loans, and allow me to nap at my desk whenever I wanted.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Small home repairs. Seriously, for a girl I can swing a pretty mean hammer. I also get a high off assembling Ikea furniture.
I'm really good at recalling lyrics to a surprising variety of songs.
Finishing people's fries.
I'm a good (fast) skier, I started when I was 8.
Analyzing people.
I read magazines starting at the last page. It's not a skill really, just a compulsion.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes can get really blue and sometimes people ask me if I'm wearing colored contacts. I'm never sure if I'm supposed to take it as an insult or a compliment. Because sometimes those colored contacts look pretty ridiculous on people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I just finished All the Light We Cannot See. It really deserved that Pullitzer. All-time favorites include The Bell Jar, Bone Black, A Tale of Two Cities and Bossy Pants.

Movies: High Fidelity, The Departed, Forrest Gump, Outside Providence, V for Vendetta, Anchorman, Kill Bill(s), Annie Hall, Benny and Joon, The Royal Tenenbaums, Amelie, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, American Beauty, Best in Show. I'm also a real sucker for Pride and Prejudice, and You've Got Mail.

TV: Arrested Development, Family Guy, The Daily Show, 30 Rock, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Veep, Ru Paul's Drag Race. Broad City and Inside Amy Schumer are new faves, I've seen every episode of Friends and Seinfeld at least 15 times, I like to put them on at night and recite the lines in my head as I fall asleep. That's normal right?

Music: I have an old soul when it comes to music....Bob Dylan, the Stones, Van Morrison, Velvet Underground, Joni Mitchell, Lou Reed, Paul Simon, Otis Redding. Also Ani Difranco, Fiona Apple, The Black Keys, Jack White, The Strokes, Ray Lamontagne, Elliott Smith, Ryan Adams. Favorite dance music is anything mo-town :)

Food: I love sushi and most Asian cuisines. Korean barbecue is awesome. I love south american, AREPAS, thai, African, Turkish, Indian...I really haven't met many foods that I don't like. I like to eat tomato sauce straight out of the jar with a spoon. Deal with it. I also genuinely really enjoy beer, I'm not just saying that so you'll think I'm "chill."
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My pug
Summer/flip flops
A really comfy bed
"Me time"
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm usually wondering what my dog would say if she could talk. Sometimes I'm thinking about moving to South America or California.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably getting some dinner and beers somewhere with my friends or my sister and my cousin. Either that or laying in bed snuggled with my dog, watching a movie and resting my achin' feet after a long week
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes I still like turning on Sesame Street. It's oddly comforting.
