My self-summary
Bookworm, eater, cook, haunter of Greenmarkets, cocktail maker and drinker. Lover of culture, both high and pop. In possession of far too encyclopedic a knowledge of movie quotes and musical theater lyrics. (Don't worry; I won't make you come with me - unless you want to, of course.)

Pro-Oxford comma.
What I’m doing with my life
Consuming as much culture as I can, cooking up a storm, reading voraciously, spending lots of time in Central Park (alternately running and lounging), and writing whenever the opportunity arises.

My day job is in technology (user research, strategy, and product management) and I do a little writing on the side. Basically, I solve problems and tell stories. I really like it. (I also do a little writing on the side, from time to time. I like that, too.)
I’m really good at
I make a nearly perfect gougère (there's always room for improvement), and my chocolate cake is legendary in certain circles. My sticky toffee pudding is legendary in all circles.

I'm a superlative traveler - I'll go anywhere, anytime, and I fall asleep immediately upon boarding the plane. It's a talent.
The first things people usually notice about me
I get a lot of comments on my bangs. What Zooey Deschanel hath wrought, etc.

Books, books, books.
My 8-inch Global chef's knife.
Sunglasses.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately? Spending as much time as possible in the sun - with a book or just daydreaming. I'm welcoming summer with wide open arms.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either out to drinks (and/or dinner) with friends, or home decompressing with a cocktail (and/or a book/my DVR).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I went through a smokes-cloves-and-wears-only-black phase in the late 90s. It's as close to badass as I ever got, sadly.

You should message me if
You want to spend time exploring New York. You're curious about the world. You like to read books and then talk about them. You're amazing, think I might be, or some combination of the two.
