My name is Meg, I'm 19 and I moved to Australia about 9 months ago from Seattle, Washington USA. I live in the Brisbane area right now. I travelled here just as a vacation but I happened to stay, I didn't feel that I got to know Australia enough to leave. I drive along the coast roads and see beautiful scenery and opportunities for blissful memories but I have none of that. I haven't had the chance to fall in love with Australia...no one has shown me all the wonderful things that are hidden here. Summer is coming, and I can't wait anymore...I think I will go home to America after Christmas. But I want to fall in love...with this place, with these people, with someone or something.

I was raised a hippie, by my mother who taught me all about love and life. She taught me that love is free and happiness should be number 1 in your life. That worry is just a pastime of the unfulfilled, I should love life with an unwavering passion and live everyday like its my last. I still carry these ideals with me to this day and I feel the same way as she did for life.

I'm trying to figure out exactly what I am doing with my life...all I am searching for is happiness and love. I don't have to rush my life away, I have plenty of time to be serious and do all the adult things that are in front of me. This summer, I am simply going to live and see where it takes me. Then maybe my future will hold something that will make me excited about growing up.

I am really good at singing in the car really loud and off tune, playing world of warcraft for 10 hours straight, sleeping in till noon, taking walks in the rain, throwing up after long drives, and talking in the middle of movies.

Well I'm either laughing or singing...so probably that I'm crazy?!? No...I would say, that I'm American...people here is Australia find it interesting and that my accent is "cute".

I'm reading "the time traveller's wife" again cause they are making a movie of it, and the books are always better than the movies people.
"Ender's game" is a favorite of mine. The "Bourne" series by Robert Ludlum (also a series of movies...but once again book > movie). I have a thing for Tom Clancy novels, although they are usually really long and as some people say "boring".

As for movies...I like political type movies like hotel Rwanda or documentaries like "An inconvenient truth", But my secret indulgence is James bond movies...Sean Connery is my all time favorite...if you can do a good 007 impersonation I love you for life! Lost in Translation, Woody allen movies,

music...I am an indie rock girl for life! I actually have 2 tickets for death cab for the 18th, and I don't know who to bring with me!!!! Favorite bands include death cab for cutie, stars and rilo Kiley, snow patrol, sufjan Stevens, Azure ray, bloc party, bright eyes, dntel, feist, frou frou, hot hot heat, Imogen heap, Interpol, jem, jenny Lewis, the killers, maria Taylor, maroon 5, Martha wainwright, the new pornographers, of Montreal, the postal service, they might be giants, the reindeer section, Regina spektor, rogue wave, Sebastian Tellier, the shins, trespassers william, the weepies, The Devics, Fleet Foxes, Metric, Emily Haines, the yeah yeah yeahs...and gee so many more.

What I'm missing in life...Right now I really think about the people I left behind at home, and how I love them desperately. I miss the feeling of being with someone you love unconditionally and just making anything that you do with them special and beautiful. I want that here, people I love...someone I can divulge all my secrets to and someone that I can hold above my head and know they are my heart and that my very soul is captivated by their sheer breaths. I am just looking for love no matter what form it comes in, friend, lover, protector...female, male. Love is free and has nothing to do with gender and it has no labels like, boyfriend or friend, or lesbian or "fuck buddy". It is simply the most wonderful feeling in the world and I haven't found anyone in Australia to share it with, someone who can show me all the beautiful things here.
