I think of myself as a open minded, fun, independent person with a sense of adventure, but also I'm pretty responsible and grounded. My attempts at humour sometimes fall flat but I never cease to try.

I work in financial compliance, making headway into the accounting field. I play beach volleyball every week, used to play hockey and I'm starting a bit of social soccer. I like going to see dance and circus performances, seeing live music and going out dancing.

I love travelling because I'm interested in other cultures and lifestyles as well as seeing beautiful landscapes, learning about history, meeting new people, being active and spontaneous. Snorkelling in the Galapagos Islands and sand boarding in the Chilean desert would be some of the highlights of my travels last year. Next up, maybe Africa, New Zealand or south east Asia.

I spend my weekends exploring aspects of Melbourne that I haven't seen yet. This often means checking out Melbourne's never-ending string of festivals, exhibitions, new bars and cafes. I'm a fan of big breakfasts on weekends and going to pubs/bars on Sundays when the atmosphere is a bit more chilled out.

I get so much enjoyment out of food. Love going to tapas bars. Prosciutto, mushrooms, eggplant, oysters, risotto, chorizo and olives are a few things I go nuts over, but I like just about everything.

My favouririte book is Fall of Giants and now I'm reading the sequel, Winter of the World. Other old favs are Eleven Minutes, The Beauty Myth, The Time Traveller's Wife and Memoirs of a Geisha. Good for laughs are About a Boy and High Fidelity. The Giver is a brilliant book, I read it as an early teen but it has stayed with me.

I listen to a fair bit of neo-soul, funk and blues inspired pop...on high rotation are Adele, Amy Winehouse, James Morrison, Lisa Mitchell, Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac, Beyonce, Sean Paul, Paolo Nutini and Kitty Daisy & Lewis. Lately I've been enjoying a bit of 90s pop rock too.

A few movies I rated highly are the Dark Knight trilogy, Good Will Hunting, Mr & Mrs Smith, the Hangover and Love Actually. Fav TV: Offspring, Once Upon A Time, Gruen Planet, True Blood, IT Crowd, How I met your mother, Q&A, ABC and SBS docos

Absolutely zonked and recharging for the weekend. Friday nights are usually nights in for me but I occasionally go out for drinks, dancing or dumplings with friends in the city.
