My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am an out-going and caring person. I am looking for that other person to compliment me. I love playing tennis, going to the movies, dining out, good conversation, a good cup of coffee, and people with a sense of humor.

I am a teacher. I love my job. I am looking for someone who is passionate about what they do, and is driven by his goals and hopes. I believe that honesty is the key to any good relationship. I am tired of all the day to day bullshit. I just want a nice, funny, smart (and seemingly nerdy-chic) guy to share my time with...

I have discovered that people who are set in their ways in their musical choices, and not opened to trying new things in the world of music, don't suit me at all. Actually, it is a huge turnoff because music is such a big part of my life. If you think that listening to Phil Collin's number one hits is culturally stimulating, don't read any further. If you aren't opened to listening to a variety of different genres, the same applies....

I am out-going, witty, and sassy
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I decided for the New Year, I would take up swing dancing. I'm taking lessons and going different places to apply what I have learned. If you want to help me fill up my dance card, let me know! Besides that, teaching amazing young adults how to make music at a College Prep school here in Chicago and finding my way around this city. I sing a lot. Maybe if you are lucky, you will be around to hear it one day. I really want to get into making music again that doesn't involve the teenagers I teach. I miss playing with grown up musicians. Currently, I'm playing in a community orchestra to get my fix, and writing music with my best friend.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
having red hair? I am really good at teaching. I pride myself in being the "cool" teacher at school. It's a pretty awesome title to hold.
The first things people usually notice about me

My hair, I suppose, if we are talking about looks. My giant nerd glasses, perhaps?I'm also pretty tall and no stick. Outside of that my sense of humor. I also easily fit into new social situations. I can have a conversation with just about anyone.

Books: Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Series of Unfortunate Events, Good in Bed, Goodnight No one, Little Earthquakes, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and Bill Mahar's New Rules.
Movies: Too many to name

Music: Rilo Kiley, Ingrid Michaelson, Psapp, Tilly and the Wall, The Beatles, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Iron and Wine, Anya Marina, THe Ditty Bops, Muse, Peter Frampton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Matt Nathanson, The sountrack to Juno, Van Halen, Jamie Cullum, Harry Connick Jr, Classic Rock, John Mayer, Jazz.....very eclectic in this area.

Foods: I am really looking to try places in the city. I am pretty adventurous and will usually try something at least once. I don't usually fancy Thai food, but I'll try it every now and then. My go to would be Mexican or a really great burger joint.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In random order:
1. Music
2. My great grandfather's violin
3. My career
4. The Internet
5.My sense of hearing.
6. Laughter
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The world, and how I fit into it. That and how will I spend my weekends without being surrounded by teenagers? It sounds strange, but I very much value my "grown-up time". Also, what I want out of life. When I know what I want, I go for it. I don't have time to dance around. I am really tired of wearing the pants..... I am an assertive woman but I want to find an equally assertive man.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out playing softball, dining, concerts, movies, staying in and hanging with my puppies, watching the shows I missed during the week, hanging out with friends, or cuddling up with a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

-That having kids in the future (distant) is extremely important to me, and if it isn't to you, there is really no point in messaging me, because that issue will never change for me.
-I'm a sensitive and caring soul. I care a lot about people. I hope you can handle that....
-OH, and that I have four (have 7 in total) really nerdy tattoos...but you have to ask for details.
