I have discovered that people who are set in their ways in their musical choices, and not opened to trying new things in the world of music, don't suit me at all. Actually, it is a huge turnoff because music is such a big part of my life. If you think that listening to Phil Collin's number one hits is culturally stimulating, don't read any further. If you aren't opened to listening to a variety of different genres, the same applies....

Teaching amazing young adults how to make music at a College Prep school here in Chicago and finding my way around this city. I sing a lot. Maybe if you are lucky, you will be around to hear it one day. I really want to get into making music again that doesn't involve the teenagers I teach. I miss playing with grown up musicians. Currently, I'm playing in a community orchestra to get my fix, and writing music with my best friend.

Music: Rilo Kiley, Ingrid Michaelson, Psapp, Tilly and the Wall, The Beatles, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Iron and Wine, Anya Marina, THe Ditty Bops, Muse, Peter Frampton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Matt Nathanson, The sountrack to Juno, Van Halen, Jamie Cullum, Harry Connick Jr, Classic Rock, John Mayer, Jazz.....very eclectic in this area.

Foods: I am really looking to try places in the city. I am pretty adventurous and will usually try something at least once. I don't usually fancy Thai food, but I'll try it every now and then. My go to would be Mexican or a really great burger joint.

The world, and how I fit into it. That and how will I spend my weekends without being surrounded by teenagers? It sounds strange, but I very much value my "grown-up time".

Out playing softball, going out for an end of the week drink with other teachers, dining, concerts, movies, staying in and hanging with my puppy, watching the shows I missed during the week, or hanging out with friends. Baking awesome cupcakes for my softball team...

-That having kids in the future (distant) is extremely important to me, and if it isn't to you, there is really no point in messaging me, because that issue will never change for me.
