I made this account as a joke to test my compatibility with a friend and kept it for the quizzes. I'm not really actively looking for new friends or matches, so I might not reply to messages. Please don't be afraid to try, though!

I'm generally very shy and reserved, but if you show you care/like me, I'll begin to open up and feel more comfortable around you. I laugh at my own jokes a lot, but feel really silly about them afterwards. If we have an inside joke together, I'll run it into the ground and never let you forget it.

I dedicate most of my time to my hobbies, which at the moment are mostly anime/manga-related. I am a BIG fan of Tiger & Bunny, so if you also like it, we'll probably get along just fine. I'm not limited to anime/manga, though; I also enjoy shows such as NCIS and Criminal Minds, but don't actively follow them. I also enjoy reading and music but am not into them as much as I used to be, although I'd like to be.

I am always up for learning new things and am especially interested in areas related to the social sciences and humanities, particularly languages. I love learning new languages, but don't practice as much as I should.

I feel like my "Personality" tab is a pretty accurate representation of who I am, so feel free to consult that and my test results.

Although I list my location as Ann Arbor, it's just where I go to school. When not in school, I live in Saginaw.

I'm currently a student at the University of Michigan studying sociology and political science and possibly linguistic anthropology. However, I'm undecided about what I'd like to do after school, although my dream would be to study something in the aforementioned areas in a foreign country where the primary language isn't English.

Realistically, I plan on applying to the JET program for a few years after I graduate to teach English in Japan . . . if I can get accepted with how shy I am. I know I need to work on that.

After that, I'll probably aim for whatever type of government job a bachelors in sociology and political science can give me.

I'm not really certain of my talents or what I'm "good" at, but people seem to say I'm a good writer. However, I don't write much outside of school. I am more confident in my academic writing than my creative writing because it is what I practice the most; I'd like to practice creative writing more, but have been pretty bad about starting it. I was also the music columnist for my high school's newspaper.

Physically, people first obviously notice my weight. While I personally don't care, I realize others might. That's okay. I've also received compliments on my eyes.

Beyond my physical appearance, first impressions of me are usually that I'm nice, but very shy.

Books: I used to be a huge fan of the Harry Potter series and still enjoy it. I like to read, but haven't read many books outside of school in a while. I keep a goodreads account, UN @ goodluckmode.

Shows: Tiger & Bunny is a bigger part of my life than it should be. I keep a MAL for everything else, UN @ seb21192. I'm always open for non-anime suggestions, since I have no idea where to begin looking for new shows.

Music: Lately, I've only been listening to TV soundtracks, but I enjoy just about every genre to a degree. My favorite artist right now is probably Electric Guest. I also like school food punishment and early Interpol. I keep a last.fm account, UN @ seb21192 and a Hype Machine account, UN @ goodluckmode.

Food: I generally eat vegan and my tastes would probably be best described as "American," but I'm up for trying new things. Although I usually eat vegan, I don't really call myself one, because it is not a very important part of my life. I also do not care whether you're a vegetarian or not, as long as you're accepting of my decisions. My favorite foods are probably potatoes and popcorn.

Again, I usually dedicate most of my time outside of school to my hobbies. I'm really interested in sociology and linguistic anthropology, so I spend a lot of time thinking about issues relating to these areas. I also spend time thinking about ways to brush up on my Spanish skills and improve my Japanese skills, but I don't often get beyond the planning stage. I'm more of a "thinker" than a "doer."

I am usually at home relaxing on the computer, but I don't mind going out with family or close friends. However, I am not a party-person and am not very adventurous, social, or thrill-seeking, either, so I don't often go out, and when I do it's usually for simple and casual activities like going out to dinner and a movie or shopping.

If it's private, I'm probably not willing to admit it, unless we're very close and I feel like I can trust you. I'm usually pretty open with those I am close to if asked about something because I appreciate honesty. However, if not asked, I might not express myself.

I might now to all messages, but you can try messaging me if you're open-minded, accepting, and don't mind people who are nervous or awkward in social situations. Having similar interests always helps, as well, especially if you enjoy learning foreign languages and are looking for study partners. However, I'm a very slow and awkward communicator even in English if I don't know you well enough, so I'm even more so with other languages.
