I am living in a city quite quite north of Seattle. I am fairly new to the PNW, having relocated from my hometown of New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina. I am still in the process of piecing my life back together and repairing my financial situation. I am kind of shy, at the moment, about myself being that I am so new here.
I consider myself intelligent, though I never learned to type, so my initial profile/answers may be brief and slow. I do not currently have the internet at home and am not on this site regularly and even then only at brief intervals. I actually looking for that "special someone" and feel I will know him on sight, so I am a tad specific about what I'm looking for.
I like mysticism and trying new things.
I use my intuition about as often as I use my intellect.
I am politically liberal and hopeful for peace.
I generally consider myself nice but I do have an edge. At least until I fall madly in love, then then I get all soft and yummy.

I love music - my favorites are alternative and garage. Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers, Clannad (their early stuff), The Secret Machines, joy Division, The Cure, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Beatles, The Verve, Morphine, and Sigur Ros are my among favorite. More favorites later.

My favorite food is Asian, especially sushi/Japanese food. I have a general preference toward healthy foods, but love ALL types of food. Real food, full fat, natural, and delicious. I like traditional & comfort foods, as well as health food. Being a body worker, I have a high metabolism and healthy appetite for being such a petite person.

I haven't found a decent hangout where I live to meet new friends, so if I'm not going to lectures, classes, workshops, or to see live music, I generally stay at home.

I can be a bit particular, e.g.;

I especially like men who are clean-shaven, have wild, long hair and special points if you can generally be considered "pretty". These are not absolutes if you are generally an awesome man. A good balance of yin/yang is favorable. OK, I'll say it. I really dislike beards and mustaches, actually. Why do all you handsome men insist on hiding behind all that excess facial hair? Shave sometimes, dammit.

I also am not a fan of shaved heads, tats, or bulked-up men; nor hip-hop culture. Macho men simply are not my type.

If you *love* pot, alcohol, or drugs and plan on continual, copious, and/or daily use, I will probably grow annoyed with you very quickly.

If you go on about being normal or average, then you're not for me. I want someone who is exceptional, and I will be exceptional, as well.

If you're devoutly religious and/or are out to convert anyone, or consider yourself "God fearing", please pass me by.

I realise my English skills aren't without its flaws, but if English is not your second language and yet you manage to thoughtlessly mangle it with your spelling or grammar, and you write or IM me, I will likely ignore you. Sorry...

My ideal man is very intelligent, kind, youthful yet mature, playful, spiritual but not religious, generous, takes care of his body and mind, and is seeking something intense within an exclusive, glorious relationship. I live alone with my cat and believe humans are not meant to be solitary creatures, and especially not me. I therefore seek a life companion.
A dynamic man would be bonus for me, but ultimately, simply, I wish for a man who has a big heart and values similar to mine.
Oh, and bonus points if you like to cook! I like to cook, as well.
