My Self-Summary
I am relatively new to the West Slope and I just reached a
milestone that I have been striving toward for a much longer time
than expected. I feel like I get to start fresh and I get to choose
what fresh looks like!
I have a loyal companion (a pooch) to whom I promised endless hours of outdoor fun when I adopted him, a promise I am just now beginning to fulfill. He is an older Aussie and pretty much the greatest.
I also love to ride bikes- my past is mostly road and I am getting into mountain though riding around town brings me just as much joy! Every last Thursday of the month (and 13Aug) there is a "Junk ride" that starts at 7p from 10th and Main. Not to be missed. There are other regional rides year round and I would love to find more people who want to go with me.
It is just as important to me to be involved in my place as it is to enjoy my time outside and I have found a couple issues here in GJ in which I hope to immerse my volunteer self and try to solve. q' mas???

What I’m doing with my life
I moved here to take a job as I just finished my M.S. (see
aforementioned milestone). I love to be outside and for that
reason, I pursued a career in natural resources. Now that I have
more free time, I plan to do a lot of playing outside and to
balance that play with grassroots community involvement.

I am a pretty good cook. I am a great bicycle rider, working to be
better. I am a pretty good listener (most of the time). I am really
good at listening to the radio (podcasts). I will also admit to an
incredible ability to make the simple things in my own life (like
getting an iced tea to go) more complicated than they should be. I
am a good friend (my friends say). Related, I am good at making my
friends laugh. I am good at being thoughtful about the world and
what I am doing in it. I like to dance, particularly to Latin
music. I am really good at being passionate about most things. I am
good at fixing MacBook issues but I don't like iPhoto.

Id like to think people notice my laugh. I don't stifle it. I enjoy

I pretty much love all food. Favorites... tomatoes, dark chocolate,
a good steak, roasted eggplant, popcorn...
Top three movies, or something like it... Donnie Darko (directors cut), Boondock Saints, Chocolat
I just made a pandora station of Spoon. That station seems to play all my english faves. In spanish, I adore Lila Downs and Calle 13.
Books- I love books in which I get lost. I can't even begin to try to list the ones I like the best.

I wash and reuse re-sealable bags. I got my nose pierced because of
peer pressure (it's still pierced because I like it).
