My Self-Summary

Hey, thanks for stopping by. My name is Justin. I am not on here looking for meaningless sex. So if that applies to you reading this, I apologize. Don't get your feelings hurt. I still like you, I promise.

About Me!
The number one thing about me is that I am creative. So I like writing, drawing, photography, film-making, and not choosing which one I want to do for a career.
The number two thing about me is that I almost never make decisions if I don't have to. I'm totally Jamie Madrox about it. If you're with me on that reference, stop reading and MESSAGE ME NOW. It's only going to get geekier.
The number three thing about me is that I am usually pretty passive and laid back, but my sense of humor is my most important attribute. I appreciate nothing more than someone who can keep up with me in a sarcasm rally, but doesn't have to be a dick about it.
The number four thing about me is that I am totally non-religious. I was born Jewish then adopted, raised Protestant by my dad, segued into Baptist by my mom, and now I'm just sort of confused and apathetic. I find it all very interesting, but that's as far as it goes. I don't know what I believe, but I do know what I DON'T believe (sorry, Jesus).
The number five thing about me is that I am what you teenagers call "straight edge," except that in addition to that, I am also not a douchebag. I don't drink or smoke or sell my body for a heroin fix, and I can promise you that you won't be able to change my mind so you shouldn't waste either of our time. Also, peer pressure is just tacky.

What I’m doing with my life

Right now I have just moved back home in an attempt to save up money and figure out what I want to do. I'm a full-time student, going back and forth between art and English.
In my free time, I'm writing and drawing a comic. It's pretty good if I do say so myself, but it would be even better if I didn't have to draw it all myself (hint, hint, artists looking for work).
Also, I try to watch Style By Jury everyday, if possible.

I’m really good at

Art, writing, cooking, investigating mysteries, judging passerbys, and accidentally making enemies.

The first things people usually notice about me

When people first meet me, for some reason, they think I'm above average in happiness and optimism, which is funny to me because I don't really see that in myself. I guess I'm just not an asshole, which is new to a lot of people. Either that comes up first, or my awkwardness or unluckiness, if of course, I was currently unlucky and met them awkwardly. One time I fell backwards down a set of stairs at a bakery while trying to be charming, which actually led to a brief but fulfilling relationship with the manager.
My honest face draws in crazies in almost any environment.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books - Catcher in the Rye, the Perks of Being A Wallflower, things David Levithan writes, some Bret Easton Ellis, A Million Little Pieces, and most importantly, I read comics, mostly X-Men and Buffy Season 8, some Runaways, Spiderman, and Batman, but I dabble in lots. I <3 Deadpool.

Movies - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, About a Boy, Batman Begins, the Dark Knight, Wet Hot American Summer, Serenity, Little Miss Sunshine, There's Something About Mary, Head of State, X-Men, X2, NOT X3. And Bratz!

Music - OK Go, the Hives, Brand New, Kevin Devine, Ben Kweller, Sufjan Stevens, Phoenix, Elliott Smith, the Cribs, Lola Ray, the Thermals

I rarely eat, so I'm going to substitute food with television, because even though I don't watch much, I get passionate about what I do watch.

Television - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, Wonderfalls, Firefly, Pushing Daisies, Greek, Dead Like Me, Dollhouse, Paranormal State, Lingo, the Young and the Restless

But if you must know, I like grilled cheese and Girl Scout cookies. And chicken. I couldn't live without chicken.

The six things I could never do without

Family (cliche), friends (cliche), Joss Whedon, air conditioning, cameras, and my sense of self.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Who I am. Where I'm going. Why the fuck I just did that. The actor Chris Lowell. The usual.

On a typical Friday night I am

Trash talking people while playing board games at Denny's, watching Dollhouse, browsing StumbleUpon, or sadly working.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Sometimes I like to buy myself a nice dinner out on the town just because I think I deserve it for not committing suicide already.

You should message me if

You think we'd make an unbeatable team, as friends or for fighting crime. Either way, I'm up for it. I have costumes for both.
