I am mercurial, sarcastic, and domestic.

My Self-Summary

if you are careful, if you use good ingredients, and you don't take any shortcuts, then you can usually cook something very good. sometimes it is the only worthwhile product you can salvage from a day: what you make to eat. with writing, I find, you can can have all the right ingredients, give it plenty of time and care, and still get nothing. also true of love. cooking, therefore, can keep a person who tries hard sane.

What I’m doing with my life

i own my own business and work entirely from home, which rocks. i'm a full time student at nait and i really like it there. i've got a two and a half year old and a beagle.

I’m really good at

making stellar stuff to eat, singing in the shower (my neighbours might argue that one) and procrastinating.

The first things people usually notice about me

i'm tall for a girl. and i have big eyes. that's what i would notice if i was just meeting me for the first time. what others notice? no idea. you'd have to ask them.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

i like everything i've ever read. if i read something and i don't like it, i read it again and again until i do like it. i'm not sure if that makes me dedicated or neurotic. it's possible that it's both.

i suck at movies. never been big into them and now i've missed so many that i've become some kind of freakshow. so if there is some kind of "epic" movie that EVERYONE has seen, i probably haven't. this isn't some strange attempt to be different, somehow i just didn't see it. nope, i've never seen star wars, pulp fiction, etc. i'm not opposed to it, just haven't gotten around to it. don't email me and how i could have ever missed _____. it's annoying and i don't care. they're just movies.

it's impossible to list music that one loves without sounding pretentious. so i'm not going to.

i like all food. i'm not picky and i'll try anything once.

The six things I could never do without

my son, caffeine, any book, chapstick, ipod, hair ties

my dog, who regularly eats socks, underwear and his own feces, would not exactly make this list. he'd be maybe...nineteen. seventeen on a good day.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

ridiculous business things that wouldn't interest anyone but a weirdo hippy like myself. and why (most) people don't understand that the weather and situation greatly influence the appropriate music to play.

On a typical Friday night I am

watching a disney flick with my son. building a couch fort. having a sock fight. something to that effect.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

i've never smoked weed.

i can't handle the way my hair feels when it's down so it's always up. you could know me for years and never see me with my hair down.

i'm pretty open and i'd admit to whatever here. wish i could think of something more interesting to write.

You should message me if

you are so inclined. or if you know what my summary is from (and are also so inclined).
