When I'm happy, I dance around my kitchen. Mostly I think I look silly doing it, but I don't care much. Won't dance in public, though. I sing while I'm dancing, to a wide variety of music. Often I make up alternative lyrics.

I like to create things and usually I'm good at it. Not so keen on partaking in sports or many outdoor activities, due only in part to laziness. I bake, I play guitar, sing, write songs. I knit (but prefer not to force my creations on others without prior request.) I write stories. I read stories.

I'm an irredeemable smartass, and speak fluent sarcasm. I dislike conflict without purpose. I can find the humour in most situations. Some people find that unnerving or baffling.

I suppose I'm a bit of a jumble of things, really.

I'm doing my best to raise two young boys to be good men, and attempting to build a good life for us.

When not doing that, I am being lazy playing computer games or being productive creating things.

Avoiding answering questions properly.

This is really hard to answer without sounding ridiculous.

Ok books first - I am very into fantasy, Wheel of Time, A Song of Ice and Fire, Tolkien (obviously and predictably), Feist's Riftwars and many others besides. Anything by Ursula le Guin. I also occasionally branch out to thrillers, and trashy vampire books I can devour in a day.

Hm, films - I'll watch most genres fairly happily, though I'm not a massive movie buff. Can't watch horror generally as it gives me horrible, horrible nightmares - even the silly spoofs! Blame the overactive imagination there. Left to my own devices I'll usually pick comedies or smart-ass rom-coms.

Tv shows - Dexter, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, New Girl, Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls, anything with an Attenborough voiceover, Coupling, Doctor Who, Firefly, Glee (everybody sings, I have to love it), How I Met Your Mother, Homeland, Community, Mad Men, Merlin, True Blood, Primeval...

Why six?

Alright, I'll play. Sight, sound, touch, smell, taste and grammar.

(Grammar is the sixth sense, in case you were wondering.)

Whatever creative project I've got on the go, usually problem solving but often brainstorming. I tend to take an idea and run with it for a while...

Having a relaxed night at home, spending the evening at a friend's house or going to the cinema to test my willpower at the snack bar.

Well if you aren't satisfied with knowing I dance around my kitchen, then there's no pleasing you.
