Things you should know about me:

I don't pay for this site so if you "like" me, I won't see it. Send me a message. I almost always respond. That's not to say that I'm the biggest pimp of okcupid. Rarely does a convo actually turn into a date. Kind of wish that would change.

I identify as queer femme. I am a femme who likes other femmes. Where are the other femmes? I want to know.

I am a feminist. This defines the way that I see myself and other women. Consent and communication are huge for me.

I don't meet many date-able (read: queer) women in my day to day existence. Hoping I can women here, even to just be friends. I really need more queer friends.

I believe that "chemistry" is defined as complementing each other; not being overly similar. As long as two people share the same values and life goals, they can be as different as they want.

I answered most of these okcupid questions years ago and don't feel like re-answering all of them. I've changed. People change. The best way to get to know someone is to talk to them, right? Chemistry is not mathematical.

I don't really understand this site. I don't want to be that cliche person who bitches about the other women on okcupid but seriously WHY DOES NO ONE EVER TALK TO EACH OTHER??? This is a dating site right? People do join to meet people to go on dates with, right?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a Master's Degree in theatre which means that I love Mondays, because then I get to work again! I teach high school theatre and direct, while also doing some set design and lighting design on the side. If I don't so something creative I get cranky. It's like those snickers commercials. I also do a lot of research and I write scholarly articles. Sounds boring but I'm a huge research nerd so I love it. I'm looking to pursue a ph.d. in the near future.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Thinking outside the box. Did I mention that I built the box too? I'm actually a very good carpenter.
I am good at what I apply myself to and I apply myself to the things in life which I am passionate about, (including relationships).
I've also learned, over the years, how to do good things for people without expecting anything in return. This is a rare skill indeed, and worth mentioning. This is the main reason that I thrive in the arts. Now if only my love life could catch up with my professional life! ah!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes people don't know what to make of me when they first meet me! I'm sure they notice my strong personality and my height!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Ya know what? Why don't you ask me! People read about other people's interests on online profiles and automatically eliminate first date conversation, thinking that they already know that person intimately. I mean can you really base a relationship on a TV series?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My individuality
(I'll leave the last one open)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I over think everything. I am a Gemini. I am an air sign. I exist in my mind, in the clouds...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Taking it easy. Hanging out with a friend or a small group of friends. Maybe seeing a play in Philly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been single for a long time so I may not have the best perspective of how to be in a relationship with someone because I've had to be on my own for so long. I'm not always the best at opening up and I'm kind of "macho" with my feelings at first, but it's usually because I'm not used to having someone to share them with.

A list longer than the sanctions against Germany in the Treaty of Versailles:
You want to change the world,
You have a plan for changing the world that doesn't just involve complaining about the world...
You think it's adorable that I over think everything,
You enjoy learning about new things,
You can teach me new things,
You are at least on your path towards your dreams,
and those dreams can produce at least some kind of economic stability,
You don't mind my having a busy schedule from time to time (I will make time for the people I care about but that has to go both ways and so does patience)
You love traveling to the beach but would go somewhere else from time to time,
(added bonus) You understand the reference to the Treaty of Versailles,
You enjoy bonfires and bourbon but would also get dressed up to see a show and drink champagne,
You read for fun,
You won't take advantage of my good nature and generous spirit, but will enjoy and appreciate the little things I do for you,
You like picnics,
You can find and laugh at innuendos in almost anything,
You know that the zombie apocalypse will never happen but you have a survival plan... just in case...
You stay fit... you know... so you can outrun the zombies...
Mostly, if you are a genuinely good person who wants to meet another good person.
