My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My friends say that the Disney character I remind them of is Sergeant Calhoun from Wreck It Ralph. I accept this. The best compliment I ever got was that I remind someone of a "younger, hotter Jane Lynch." So this all makes sense.
I grew up in House Gryffindor but now reside in House Lannister.
We find so many ways to define our individuality while trying to avoid labels. Maybe the best way to describe myself is that I am an individual.
What movie genre is my life? Action/Adventure. That's for sure. Which James Bond am I? Sean Connery. That is really important.
Why do I define myself by listing results from various online quizzes I have taken? Probably for the same reason I fool myself into thinking that an online dating profile can capture who I am. How can I summarize my life into a few paragraphs? How can my photos accurately portray my life when I'm too busy living it to take selfies in the mirror. You want to get to know me? Send me a message!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a Master's Degree in theatre which means that I love Mondays, because then I get to work again! I teach high school theatre and direct, while also doing some set design and lighting design on the side. If I don't so something creative I get cranky. It's like those snickers commercials. I also do a lot of research and I write scholarly articles. Sounds boring but I'm a huge research nerd so I love it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Thinking outside the box. Did I mention that I built the box too? I'm actually a very good carpenter.
I am good at what I apply myself to and I apply myself to the things in life which I am passionate about, (including relationships).
I've also learned, over the years, how to do good things for people without expecting anything in return. This is a rare skill indeed, and worth mentioning. This is the main reason that I thrive in the arts. Now if only my love life could catch up with my professional life! ah!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes people don't know what to make of me when they first meet me! I'm sure they notice my strong personality and my height!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Ya know what? Why don't you ask me! People read about other people's interests on online profiles and automatically eliminate first date conversation, thinking that they already know that person intimately. I mean can you really base a relationship on a TV series?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My individuality
(I'll leave the last one open)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I over think everything. I am a Gemini. I am an air sign. I exist in my mind, in the clouds...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At rehearsal.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been single for a long time so I may not have the best perspective of how to be in a relationship with someone because I've had to be on my own for so long. I'm not always the best at opening up and I'm kind of "macho" with my feelings at first, but it's usually because I'm not used to having someone to share them with. I'd like to change that.

A list longer than the sanctions against Germany in the Treaty of Versailles:
You want to change the world,
You have a plan for changing the world that doesn't just involve complaining about the world...
You think it's adorable that I over think everything,
You enjoy learning about new things,
You can teach me new things,
You are at least on your path towards your dreams,
and those dreams can produce at least some kind of economic stability,
You don't mind my having a busy schedule from time to time (I will make time for the people I care about but that has to go both ways and so does patience)
You love traveling to the beach but would go somewhere else from time to time,
(added bonus) You understand the reference to the Treaty of Versailles,
You enjoy bonfires and bourbon but would also get dressed up to see a show and drink champagne,
You read for fun,
You won't take advantage of my good nature and generous spirit, but will enjoy and appreciate the little things I do for you,
You like picnics,
You can find and laugh at innuendos in almost anything,
You know that the zombie apocalypse will never happen but you have a survival plan... just in case...
You stay fit... you know... so you can outrun the zombies...
Mostly, if you are a genuinely good person who wants to meet another good person.
